Certain combinations of generated engravings, materials, quality, imbeddibility, spells (and probably a lot, lot more) determine how much a single piece of jewelery-esque material is worth.

If you have that many characters and can't find a way to work in trading, well, I guess you don't deserve the extra coins anyway.

Also, It's pretty ridiculous to hear you say that it's a waste of two dollars (for a character with good trading skill) when you do spend and have spent so much more on the game already.

No, it's not worth it to me. I currently don't have an account, was never premium, and never paid for events.

Now, first of all, it's not just 200k. It'd be 200k for that one time cleanout. It's not like that's the only time you'll ever sell mass amounts of gems.

Jonty, I thought of deleting her posts (except the first one of course) however since many have quoted her posts showing the original information, I'm inclined to leave it all right now. This way it shows that not only did she create a thread that perpetuated this problem, she added to it, and when she didn't like how it was going she retracted it. Well, it's not going to be so easy for her if it shows she can't be an adult in a thread and remove it. I'm not going to let it be easy for her. She wanted to come back, she's going to have to learn to deal with it.

Actually, if someone says they "visited Khaladon" at his job, claiming that the "boyfriend" works at the same place, they'd have to be schizophrenic to actually BELIEVE it. The lie was told for a reason...to give the other lies said person has told validity. To believe it, the person would have to have hallucinated such a visit, and Khaladon.

In short, people who tell this kind of lie are not psychotic. They know they're lying. They just want what they want and will tell whatever story they think might achieve their current purpose. It's more a neurosis than a psychosis. They're aware of what they're doing, but they WANT to do it. Most of the time, they're caught sooner or later because they can't keep the lies straight, or because they tell a really dumb lie (like claiming to visit someone's job when that someone lives across the continent from you).

There are people who can lie without remorse, but they don't believe the lie. They just tell it to get what they want. We're talking personality problems, not psychosis or dementia. ;)

Heh. Hell, she may well be a pathological liar. However, that doesn't mean she doesn't know she's lying. The term "pathological liar" is imprecise, at best. It's an old term and, often, used where it doesn't really fit.

Liars that tell lies to make themselves look better, or make themselves seem more important than they are, or to try to make previous lies sound true usually suffer from self-esteem issues. It's a personality problem as opposed to some sort of uncontrollable psychosis. These people can control their lying (as opposed to a person who has some sort of brain disorder) but choose not to do so. Many of these folks are narcissistic, and that's certainly what I suspect in this particular case.

People like this can be helped with therapy, but most don't really want help so it doesn't do any good for mommy to take them to the shrink and say: "Here. Fix this." Thousands of dollars, and hundreds of hours later, the person will walk out of the psychiatrist's office and tell another lie. It's a choice they make. If they want to, and if the lies become problematic enough to them, they CAN get treatment to alleviate the problem.

Yes, you are all pissed off that I lied. But when someone that you talk to in person lies, well... I am sure you can understand that it means more. I am small compared to those you talk to in real life.

But hey it didn't, now the whole thread is about something totally different. But I got what I wanted on both issues in this thread. I found out why the gem dealer would not buy my clasp, and I found out that Khaladon does not live in WA. So, I am happy.

Simple, because someone who obviously plays gemstone, is claiming to be khaladon. Not only had he lied to my boyfriend, but also to me. (or it's just my boyfriend who is telling the lie, but due to certain factors I know he isn't. Plus, he wouldn't lie to me.)

If they are shown the true documents, then perhaps it can be weasled out of them who their true identity is. Perhaps they even post on the boards. Right now, I have no clue.
