Apparantly some couples in England thought that getting wedding bands made of their own bone tissue would be romantic.

:weird:

I like that its valuable to no one but the people wearing them and I don’t see anything at all wrong with it.

That's... interesting. Not my cup of tea, but more power to them I guess.

Problem is, the damage to tissue and muscle done at the harvest site is pretty intense. There's a great deal of pain involved, and it can be ongoing long after the harvesting is complete.

I don't think I'd ask someone I loved to go through that just to produce a unique token.

Wearing vials of each other's blood around your necks is so much easier.

Didn't the guy Texas Chainsaw Massacre was based on already make furniture out of skin and bone?

I'm curious as to how long they'll last, too.

That's actually a pretty devoted way to say "I love you." I mean how much bone tissue (marriages) can you really go through before it gets very monotonous due to pain and lack of density etc?

"I love you. Heres some femur. My ex got my pelvic bone. Your not that special."

You know what, though? I bet I could think of a way to make it more personal. And more creepy. bwahaha. FO SHIZZLE.

...Eww. Fuck that. I'm devoting my body, mind and soul to you, yep but as far as body parts? Eh..you can have them when I'm dead. Make all the trinkets you want after that baby.

Ed Gein did yes.

And I don't see it as any weirder than getting matching tattoo's or wearing a vial of blood around your neck or other equally retarded things.
