I was listening to some of CNN's coverage of this trial and the admissions he has made to the investigators tonight and found myself becoming more and more physically ill and filled with a mixture of profound sadness and rage.

They said how he had asked little eleven year old Josephine Otero, as he took her down the stairs to the basement to kill her, if she had a camera because he wanted to take photographs.

Agent Details BTK Killing Spree at Hearing (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050818/ap_on_re_us/btk_killings;_ylt=AvROBUf9j.BemwHOhClDaa6s0NUE;_yl u=X3oDMTA3b2NibDltBHNlYwM3MTY-)

Kansas Bureau of Investigation special agent Larry Thomas testified that after Rader killed Josephine Otero's parents and brother, he took the 11-year-old girl to the basement. Prosecutors projected to a screen Rader's recollection of the exchange he had with Josephine before he killed her.

"What's going to happen to me?" she asks.

Rader: "Well, honey, you're going to be in heaven with the rest of your family."

Rader then hanged the girl and masturbated over her body.

"I remember problems with Josephine because her hair was in the way," Rader told investigators.

This thing is more disgusting and vile a creature than I can at this point properly put into words.

I hope he is hurt very very badly in prison before he is killed.

I've been following this case for years. Im glad they finally caught the bastard.

Court TV's crime library has a lot of information on him and other serial killers. Mary Bell is a pretty interesting case as well. She was a child serial killer.

Tips for serial killers: If you got away with it, STFU.

However, I don't think he should receive the death penalty. I really don't think he is a threat to society any longer. Life in prison yes, but death should be reserved for those who would more than likely commit more crimes should they escape.

He is a sick person, and he will be tried in a higher court at a later date.

<<However, I don't think he should receive the death penalty.>>

Luckily, by law, he can't.

Due to when the crimes were committed? Or the state doesn't allow?

The state didn't allow them back when the crimes were committed.

He'll die in prison by a less than natural death most likely.

Lets hope it hurts and he is very very scared.

Yesterday morning when I got home from work I threw on the discovery channel and they had a show about female serial killers and how they got away with it because for the most part, at the time of the murders, society overlooked the obvious.

Most of them were for money and involved poisoning, and the show claims that woman tend to poison their victims while males tend to do things such as what BTK did.

Either way, it was a fucked up thing to watch right before falling asleep.

And to stay on topic, wasn't BTK the one that would write letters to the local newspaper and police office basically bragging about what he did and that they'll never find him? Seems he wasn't as smart as he thought he was. I'm sure they'll have fun with him in prison.

He wrote to the police and sent coded messages. He screwed up because he sent them a floppy disk with a coded message. However, the police computer experts were able to recover files that had been previously stored on the disk that BTK had deleted. Those files led them to catch him because they had his details and information about the church he went to.

The Zodiac Killer also sent coded messages to the police, but he was never caught. There are many many theories as to who it was. The police and FBI believe that it was someone who is now deceased, but there are a few private dectectives and two victims who believe that he's still alive.

What’s sad is he’ll most likely receive far more protection then any of his victims had during his time in prison.

That thing about him hanging the little girl is one of the sickest acts I’ve ever heard of. I can’t imagine how cold you must be to be able to do that to a person, let alone a child. Regardless of his threat to society at this point, he lived a life without mercy and none should be afforded him.

Unfortunately in his case(But for the good of society as whole) he will never receive what he truly deserves by the justice system. I can only pray that his new neighbors deliver him the slow, painful death he’s earned.

Modern day serial killers have nothing on Elizabeth Bathory. She killed about 600 women in the 1500's. I guess she believed bathing in their blood would limit aging. Twisted and depraved and occurring in a small community, yet she got away with it for years.

He killed a kid, I doubt he'll get much real protection other than maybe solitary.

Even in protective custody.. people can still be gotten to and in BTK's case I hope they get him and punish him every day that he lives. Prisoners have kids too.. and what he did won't set well with them.. at all.

The sentence - a minimum of 175 years without a chance of parole - was the longest possible that Judge Gregory Waller could deliver.
