PBS here in NY is having one of their fund raising efforts and the work around which they are focusing this particular effort is a performance now on tour called "Celtic Woman".

This is such a beautiful performance my sister and I decided to join(although sharing one pledge, yeah cheapos..oh well) and I am anxiously awaiting the cd that comes with the pledge.

The voices of these women are so beautiful and clear and strong they just make me appreciate the artistry of the human voice. They are singing songs in English and in gaelic(spelling?) as well.

The set is wonderful also and they have an excellent supporting cast of musical performers.

The CD it seems is for sale in stores without making a pledge so anyone who enjoys this kind of music may wish to take a listen.

Outstanding program. My favorite part of the program was the fiddler though.

edit: What is the difference between a fiddler and a violinist anyway? She danced around while playing the violin so: dancing + violin playing = fiddler to me.

I tuned in late but managed to catch a good deal of Broadway's Lost Treasures III. This made me very happy since I loved the first two and didn't know they made a third.
