I've been wondering about what is up with people lately flipping out purposely trying to get themselves banned? Is it a new trend? TOJ, Stanley, X, Dave and a couple others I think. You're not cool until you've been banned from a message board?

Dave is absolutely on that list somewhere too. Probably at or near the top. Joining the army didn't make you interesting, cool, nor (obviously) intelligent. You're still the same nobody that you were, and will always be, due ot the fact that you care about what people think about you more than anything else. And pretending otherwise doesn't fool anyone. Seriously, I don't see anything wrong with seeking attention if attention is what you need, or want. As long as your method of seeking attention is not detrimental to the boards, have at it. I don't find it something of which one should, necessarily, be ashamed. Most human beings enjoy being noticed.

I do think one has to be careful when doing so, however, and must realize that there are some who get attention by bashing other people. That's their way. If you're sensitive to such things, it's probably best not to post things that could bring negative comments your way.

I didn't flip out :). Just asked questions. There were two guilty parties in X's banning. One was punished the other got off where he should have suffered the same fate. X made comments and was awarded the necessary points (50) to be banned. The other party was not treated in the same light, and it was hypocritical, which is typical of the moderation of the boards as of late, if your going to enforce the rules for one party then it should be the same all around.
It was an attempt to get the information about his banning and it succeeded.
