That's what I'm calling all the Kerry supporters from now on. You earned it.

I'll say it again... had the Democrats nominated a moderate, they would have easily won. Kerry simply didn't connect with the common American and that was evident this election.

And had the Republicans nominated McCain four years ago, no democrat would've had a chance. That's how things would be if I could have it totally my way, in any case.

But to SHM, yes, you are right.

I doubt that, Spun. I think a lot of Republican voters would be turned away from McCain simply because they view him as a RINO (Republican In Name Only.). There is a good chance that many would become disillusioned and just not vote.

Actually, I think McCain is a person who would appeal to many republicans and a ton of democrats. But all we can do is state our opinions, because we'll never know.

His vocal support of Bush was nice to see, however, and one of the reasons my vote swung that way.

Problem is, the Republican base seems to be more conservative than moderate. When putting up a candidate you definatly need to secure that base, McCain was too much of a gamble.

I would vote for McCain.

Yes I would.

As would I, Maimara. I've been a vocal minority since I learned how to speak and read. Nothing new there.

And he's Republican, too, isn't he?

Republican senator from Arizona. Yes.

More importantly, he's the man, and I'll never forgive the Republicans of 2000 (yes, I'm looking at you, Montana).

p.s: I have no idea how Montana voted in the 2000 primaries. They're just fun to rip on.
