once again, Crispin + Porter + Bogusky brings another BK advertising gimick to the table.

welcome to the future of advertising (it's been here for awhile, but people are now just waking up to it, finally)

A high school buddy of mine has an internship with BK marketing.

He says the director is getting canned.

Also -- their planned tag-line was:

"Girls LOVE the coq"

who's getting canned? BK marketing director or CPB?

He said the marketing director. Since he is interning with BK I assumed it was an in-house marketing director. I don't really know the specifics.

yeah, I can see why a company would be pissed about this, but they gotta get with the times.

I don't understand why they are targetting men with these chicken fries.

I told him he should explain that they need to be marketing to on-the-go soccer moms who think, "Well -- at least it's not beef"

But I don't get paid the big bucks.

I love BKs new strategies. Tendercrisp Bacon Cheddar Ranch, Pimp My Burger, its funny stuff and in the world of burger joint advertising its pretty off the wall stuff compared to the feel-good family stuff or the kid geared stuff.

Also I think its one of very few examples of T&A selling burgers though Hardee’s used Paris recently.

Oh, and I think the white male 25-35 demographic is still the largest with the most money.

really though, I see a segment of teens that buy into this as well, most of their TV spots related to this were placed on VH1 and MTV.

I hate BK's food, honestly, I don't eat crap like that, but all in all, I like the idea that they have, for sure.
