I agree with you, but I would think if you read his whole post (which I don't blame you for not doing, if that's the case) you would've said '15 minutes isn't long enough for anyone to respond,' or something along those lines.

Calm down, Jolena. Dave has a very valid concern that should be addressed. Whether Harmnone decides to do it publically or not is up to her. Whether Dave decides to share is up to him, but it is still a valid concern. He should give more than 15 minutes time though.

I probably should have worded it better, while i did read the entire post that he made where he mentioned the U2U, I also thought in my mind "Okay 15 minutes, U2U her again and ask why she hasn't responded. Perhaps there's a glitch in the system and she hasnt read it, any number of things". Or, and I know this is a long stretch for Dave to understand, think that the world for HN doesn't revolve around Dave and sometimes (although she's normally very punctual) things happen and she has a lot to look over all at once that takes priority over Dave asking why his thread was moved.

You forget that staff should be held to higher standards, for they are the people selected because they can do the job. When they are as bad if not worse than the normal posting base (tsa'ah and more recently skirmisher) something should be done, but rarely is. When i watch staff go on a crusade against members in attempts to bait them to the point where they do something to get banned, and nothing is done to stop it, it annoys me.
I was also quick to point out the error in my comment. I will however continue to point out where the staff are acting in such a manner, for it lacks the professionals that is required to do a job. You forger you have a few hundred people who post here, although unpaid the job is treated as just that, a job. I have never let anyone who worked for me use the excuse, they are human, when they fuck up big nor constantly.
The TOJ issue was a perfect example where half the staff including the "high ranking" baited him again and again and again (granted he didnt really need it he dug his own holes, being a moron does that) That type of action is uncalled for and the which hunt that staff members go on because of a personal dislike should never take place.

they are selected them because you hold them to a higher standard. they should continue to be held them to that standard after they become staff.

Well, both threads potentially could have different topics. The last thread was to discuss why his thread was missing and this thread is just calling bullshit on HN. Over the last couple years the mods here have done a bang up job. This is a privately owned forum with volatile posters. Most such forums would have blown up long before now with that combo. That it hasn't is a testament to the quality of moderation here. Yeah people make mistakes. So fucking what? The rants I see about how the boards are handle are so god damn ridiculous and paranoid I don't know whether to scream or laugh.

Several of you have been very supportive over the years, to the staff and to other posters. We all have our good days and our bad days but, for the most part, this is a really great group of people. If it weren't for the posters there would be no boards, so your opinions are valuable to us, even if they aren't always what we might like to hear. We do the best we can. It's nice to know that's recognized. :)

Were I to be paying a monthly subscription fee to post here, I'd probably expect some sort of satisfaction in regards to banning ... but I wouldn't be upset if I didn't get any. The mods have spoken to X, I am positive of it, about why he is banned. If you're so curious, ask him. Starting a thread is not a great way to get the results.
