As part of Awesome August, we're proud to announce the release of an awesome* new verb: SORT! SORT allows you to rearrange the ordering of items in your inventory or containers without moving them to your hands first. Take a look at SORT HELP to see how it's used.

SORT helps you choose the ordering of items by moving all items of the same name in the same location to the top of the list of items they are contained in. By repeatedly sorting, you can rearrange your inventory or container contents as you please. Unfortunately, some scripted containers may not be able to have their contents sorted.

As well, the SORT verb provides support for automatic methods of inventory sorting. Currently, the only automatic method is head-to-toe sorting, which will sort your worn items in roughly head-to-toe order. As there's no consensus for what constitutes head-to-toe order, this may not be exactly what you desire, but it should be close enough that you can easily adjust it using the normal SORT functionality to get it how you'd like.

If you have any suggestions for improvement or additional automatic sorting methods, please post them on the GemStone IV Message Boards, in the Roleplaying Verb Discussion topic of the General Roleplaying category.

It's pretty cool. Considering I can now easily get Arkans's combat uniform and formal uniforms (in progress) in order easily. This rocks.

Verb is pretty snazzy, provided you don't wear pinworn gear. If you do, you still have to do the hands thing.

I just enjoy laughing at Arkans and Anticor.

The verb itself is a very helpful one i think and while some will poo poo it, I find it an excellent addition.

Kinky.

Actually, I think they should have a spoof up the companions day, and a spoof up Elanthia day. -Feature alterations, pet clothes, tattoos, brands and permanent scars (did I mention brands and scars?). Hopefully, ebon gate will be all about that this year.

Yeah I saw the verb and immediately whooped for joy. While James (Stun) laughed at me in the background of course. :(

Either way, yay for cyber barbies in Gemstone! w00t!

I recognize that this is probably an extremely inappropriate thing to say, but.. does that smiley make anyone else think of a pole dancer? :X
