That's absolutlely horrible! Those poor little kids. It makes me sick to think of what the future will bring to these children. At least, hopefully, the abuse will stop; however, one is left wondering what's ahead for them.

It hate it when that is used as an attempt to make it seem they are less of a monster. It's wrong, they should know it's wrong.

I hope the children can get into a better environment and learn that what happened to them is wrong. Put them through a lot of long, hard counselling. Break the chain.

You would think that BECAUSE of the fact that they had been abused as children they especially wouldn't want to pass the abuse on. That's disgusting and I think every single adult involved in that horribleness ought to spend the rest of their lives behind bars. Obviously, a jail sentence doesn't deter them (points to the part in the article about three men having formally served sentences for child abuse)

I think the quoted statement sums up the problem nicely, if you grow up being abused and no one says that its wrong then how do you know its wrong? You all seem to have forgotten that *everything* you know to be good and all that you know to be bad has been taught to you.

Fact is the biggest crime are the people that know right from wrong, and are supposed to be protecting the children, they obviously failed that job. No call of improved measures in the future are going to help any of those children that already have those awful memories. The social worker thats calling ahead for their check-in is the worst in my opinion. Some people don't know any better, some don't care, but those that know and are paid to care should do the job or be accountable.

You can see what the Liberal mentality allows for. What one in that mindset can make excuses for, and that is more sickening than anything. There is no excuse for this type of crime, none, zero.
EVERYONE knows right from wrong in this type of circumstance. I'm sure the people in question never watched TV (for the illiterate ones) or read a newspaper. I'm 22 and I have read and heard hundreds if not thousands of stories about how wrong it is. Hell I could just say that about catholic priests alone.

It's nice to be able to have a privileged upbringing, isn't it. If you're isolated enough, you're not going to hear shit about right and wrong. According to that article, some of the people had mental problems. They couldn't control their impulses and didn't understand that what they did was wrong.

It couldn't have been the case for all 65 adults though. Probably most of them knew exactly how wrong the shit they were doing was, since they went as far as to talk in code when they wanted to do this shit. One can only hope that prisoners in France give pedophiles the same treatment they'd get in maximum security prisons here.

I don't know if I would be in favor of life without possibility of parole, or the death penalty, but I would lean for life as they are I think disturbed.

There is nothing worse on this earth, than the animals who prey on and abuse the most vulnerable members of our society. I mean, I can deal with most things, I can accept that people do things that are not right, but abusing children? I have no fucking clue how any living breathing human could do that, it's beyond words. I've been in tears over this trial a few times, it's more than I can bare.

I can only hope that those men and women were seriously disturbed, I can't comprehend any normal human being who is mentally stable doing that. I hope they throw away the key. I'm all for rehabilitation for criminals but paedophiles? No childs life is worth risking based purely on the hope that someone has changed. I'd suggest burying them alive, but death is too good for those cretins. Let them rot in a cell on their own, contemplating the disgusting lives they have led. /rant.
