Great picture.. muahahaha.
Extremely lucky she didnt break her neck. Or shove her nose back into her brain.
Definately looks painful, glad there were others around to help her out of the pool.

Damn that almost looks photoshopped if it wasn't on a news site.

Sorry, I don't see the humor in that.
I'm glad she is going to be alright.

I was a diver in high school. Inward and reverse dives are a bitch kitty. If you don't throw them right you will meet the board, and the harder you spin it the harder you hit.
I'm glad she's ok, she could have been very seriously injured.

I always thought it'd be super fun to be a diver, but shit like this scares the crap out of me. And knowing me, I'd get carried away and end up doing it. I feel so bad for her.

Ouch, I cringed when I saw that.
I once dated a guy who did track and field, pole vaulter. He ended up going sideways instead of forward, and hit pavement. He was rushed to the hospital, but was in such bad shape, they had to transfer him to a hospital an hour away.
He also was on the swim team, and hit his head once on the diving board (the springy one). Talk about taking me back to those days.

Thanks, fucker. My empathy had me curled up in a ball. That ones easier to look at than the guy who's running track and his leg breaks, in mid stride.
Shit makes me cringe just thinking about it.

I don't think anything is worse than that pitcher who broke his arm in the middle of a pitch...
...on two seperate occasions. :scared:

World Swimming Championships...
I have never, ever heard or seen of anything remotely close to what just resembled that botched dive. I mean, I've watched Olympic and non-Olympic diving alike and have seen some relatively messed up dives, but what this girl did was a lot more than just skimming the board.
In short, scientific deduction has led me to believe that the Equinox was in full-bloom and the Earth's polarity was slightly ajar that day.
Also, that diver's seriously lucky she wasn't two or three more inches closer to the board.

Greg Louganis banged the back of his head on a board during the Olympics. He still won the gold medal though. :)
The human body is very resilient for being made up of three fourths water.

All them shits looked like it hurt. I gotta take a camera to the track with me one day and just post up at one of the most crash prone spots. If I get lucky, you guys can see someone totally getting pwned on a motocross track.
