2 mods are the ones attacking me. Then when I respond I get the following.

Again nothing atypical just normal shit from Crystal Tears and Tsa'ah

If you want to anything but atypical, delete the entire personal attack thread

It's okay TOJ, you know its going to happen. Some of the mods don't like you (granted you give them a reason not to) so they will do whatever they can to get you kicked off the boards, all the while ignoring other violations in the same thread. Its nothing new. Its nothing that will change. Sometimes you just have to accept it and move on.

One is a suitable opinion formed on something you've done. People comment on others attitudes here all the time. I for one like Harmnone's attitude and her posting style. I do not consider her a dick. That's a comment on Harmnone that's acceptable because the way she has acted and posted has led me to form that belief. If I called Arkans an asshole because he acts like one, I imagine that's acceptable too because he's the one who has made me think that way.

If I were to say that Volstock (Kazami) is a fat hideous piece of shit, you can see where that starts to cause problems.

Skuze me? That thread is discussing an imaginary character in a video game. It's discussing how that character got his ranks in that game. It's discussing your claims vs what appears to be proof that your claims don't fit the picture being presented. That is not a personal insult. That is questioning your veracity.

Calling people fat, ugly and old are personal insults that have absolutely nothing to do with the game WoW, the character(s) in said game, or anything else that was being discussed in that thread. I'm getting really tired of explaining the obvious. I'm going to go count demerit points.

Actually, Atlanteax, there are really very few violations to deal with and I have a spreadsheet program that does so quite effectively. All I have to do is add the name of poster, the violation, the date, and the points assessed.

Most of our posters stay well within the rules of the forums. Occasionally, someone will slip, but I rarely assess points for one little slip. It can happen to anybody. :)

Favoritism. Right. He insulted me and I laughed it off. I gave him LOTS of freebies. However when it got out of hand, I didn't allow anymore.

No one else in that thread was going down to the level of personal attacks as he was. If there are, show them to me and I will take care of them as well. He was called "dick", "liar" and I believe "stupid". Those are not personal insults. He may not like it, and he is right in feeling that way, but they are not against policy... personal attacks are.

For the record, Kagg has recently deleted one of my posts.

You dont get stuff deleted because the mods dont like you, you get it deleted because it is deemed off topic, or against ToS.

As to the extra work... I didn't make the rules, the mods do, you bring it upon yourself.

If it is reference to what is being posted and not to the poster then its not a personal insult, if somebody goes and says," John, you're stupid." then yeah its a personal insult the same as saying, "John, you're fat."

Thats just my opinion though, so it dosent mean much.

There's also a big difference between someone calling someone else stupid in one post, and someone making that the centerpiece of several posts in the same thread.

That same difference is found when one posts about someone being fat in a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with that person's weight.

In a thread in which a disagreement is being discussed between several people, each holding a different opinion, you can bet that each is going to think the one who doesn't agree with him/her is stupid. That rather generalizes the comment, eh? However, allowing the disagreement to degenerate into insults involving body habitus, whether or not someone holds a job (when you don't even know if they do, or not), what that person does for a living, or insults directed toward that person's family members, there is nothing general about it. It becomes a direct, personal insult made just to hurt. It has nothing to do with the argument and everything to do with disruption, harassment, and hostility.

That being said, I must agree with TOJ. The Mods of these boards oftentimes engage in actions which would result in points/warnings/bannings if they were done by another poster. You are Mods and that position should come with responsibilty requirments.

If thats the problem, and it is a problem, than u2u the supermods specifically, or atleast one of them (I suggest Miss X) if you can't be bothered. Supermods don't receive reports unless they are in their specific folders so if your problem is with a folder mod than let us know.

Kranar gave us permission to ignore certain posters who use u2u's as a means of harrassing individuals, since u2u's are not subject to points our recourse is to add you to the ignore list. Our job is to moderate the main forum not to sit around and deal with harrassing u2u's from individuals with too much time on their hands.

I sure do! I think about my post count a lot. Like today when it was busy at work, I was thinking, "I sure wish it wasn't busy so I could check the Player's Corner and increase my post count." I noticed that Dave has more posts than I do, which upset me a lot. As a result, I've begun hatching a secret plan to disable each and every computer Dave has access to now or may have access to in the future. I plan to do the same to HN, because she has the HIGHEST post count and must be taken down. She's a danger to my plot to sit in the highest post count spot for all time. Bobmuhthol, well, I'm worried that there's not a lot I can do about him. Since he's a minor, disabling his computers might amount to harassment of a minor or something. Then I would wind up in the news, which can't be a good thing, at least not in that particular instance. In fact, in a way, I look UP to Bobmuthol with regards to post count. I mean, banned twice and still a 10k+ post count. Phew! :worship: Anyway, I'm going to get some alterations now, but I'll still probably be thinking about my post count. I might even see if I can get a "lots of posts" medallion or something to wear proudly around the land of Elanthia. Too bad anyone who doesn't play anymore won't get to see it! Oh boy oh boy, I could go on and on... but this is distracting me from thinking about my master plans for increasing my post count! Dammit! Foiled again!

Er...if the name is Spanish (and because Nevada was taken from Mexico, I'm betting it is!) then it is a pretty relevant fact. I could be a little rusty on my basic facts of Romantic languages, but don't all or most masiculine nouns end in o, and feminine nouns end in o?
