The picture speaks for itself. Toj's obviously new to playing a paladin..
He obviously got WTFPWNIFICATED BY A LOWBIE ROGUE!!!!!!!!!

The picture was taken once I got into WSG.. but read the combat log.
Too funny. Didn't even realize it was a paladin because he never used any paladin power.
I had more trouble in WSG against a 50 paladin than I did him.

so are you trying to take credit for the guards at the entrance to the barrens, LF and the two 20 somethings I chased from Silverwing?
how long does it take you to read this and answer?

No.. I am illustrating that you suck at playing a paladin which goes to my claim that you bought it or somehow aquired it.
I am illustrating how it was more difficult for 3 of us in BG to kill a level 50 paladin than it was you.
I'm showing that I nailed you with a death ray that took a big ass chunk of your health.
In conclusion.. I am making you look like a big ass dumb fool for getting a character and having zero clue on how to play it. Paladin is WoW on easy mode.. and you suck at it. Badly.

what game do you play?
6 level 40s plus you and LF, spike and the other 2 can kill anyone quickly.
and for knowing how to play a paly? Ask Alorg he fought against me tonight in WG.

I was using a mace and shield to max out the mace skill when these 2 20 something attacked me.
I laughed then said hell no when they ran off.
I chased them a long ways because the only long range attack I have is a trinket. They stopped at the gate because they thought they were save.
wrong answer I kept going. I killed them and then I ran up on LF. I laughed and started attacking her
that was when the horde was the zerg for once
anyways. It was great to say hello to LF again
wanted to add.
LF talk to other hunters... shouldnt you strafe not go straight back?

We went from 2 guards, me, LF and 2 level 20's..
To 6 level 40's, PLUS me and LF, and the other 2.. which are what.. the level 20's or the guards?
To be honest, I saw me, LF, a guard and 2 lowbies. But hey.. if you need it to be 10 vs 1 to try and save face.. help yourself.

Where'd the other 8 go to you claimed?
Do us a favor.. come up with the story first.. THEN post about it. When posting again, refer to your initial post so that the story can at least stay the same.
Thanks.

Yes TOJ, you should strafe. Retreating is slower and against mobs it only add's agg.

Spike is Awesome! Much better than Spot but then Spot is super fast.
Yes I suck at pvp.
Stabbed was supposed to take a picture of me standing over your dead body!! Goober instead gets a head shot of me in BG.
/sigh
Next time!

I need a better way to hit for damage. Aimed shot is my best one I can hit for almost 400 each time now but it takes so friggin long to get off the shot it is about useless for pvp which takes place so very quickly and is over so fast.
I only got to use it yesterday on a rogue who was beating me up pretty good when she decided to engage spot. I was able to use both that and the one I shouldn't use much because it shoots at more than one target but it also is over 100 damage each time it fires. Fiinal score there was LF 2 Rogue 4 <bah>
And yes there will be a next time!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE engineering. The damage from the death ray varies A TON.. I've seen it hit for 200ish.. all the way to almost 1700 on a capped mage. That hit on Toj's character was the biggest regular hit for me so far.
Love the death ray and the only 5 minute cooldown.
Love my protection belt.. hate the 1 hour cooldown.
Love my net-o-matic
Love my mind control hat
Love bombs
Love the explosive sheep
Love the fighting chicken

The best way for a Hunter to beat a rogue is by kiting. They'll never, ever match a rogue 1 vs 1 via melee. So use traps (though a good rogue will activate detect before fighting a hunter) that slow, use those concussive shots, use your pet.
Littlefang

I thought kiting was backing up and shooting? I am confused now cause that is what I was doing backing up from him and the nice thing Spot was still on attack mode from BG so he was on him as soon as he jumped me. What is strafing then?
I also have that shot I can use up close but its got a fair amount of cooldown so I usually only get one shot.
LF
StrayRogue

Don't back up. Strafe. Move left or right while shooting (strafing). He shouldn't be allowed to get close as thats when he'll kill you. All it takes is one hit from him to stop you from moving away again durng the fight.

I think they default to be the Q (left) and E (right) keyboard buttons. It's just running straight left or right. I use those button constantly.

Yeah, definitely strafe, it enables you to run full speed and fire Arcane shots, serpent sting, etc.
My usual strat vs a rogue who doesn't see me first is drop an immolation trap, load up aimed shot, send pet so he'll hit the target around same time as aimed shot. Then I mark the rogue, concussive shot, serpent sting, arcane shot, then he's usually in melee so you just have to use wingclip/counterattack whenever you can.
I'll usually give one raptor strike, then wing clip, then run.
You don't want to stay in melee any longer than you have to versus a rogue.

Hunter's Mark is le ghey. Rogues hate it.

Heh, yeah, well without that we'd be smoked everytime verse rogues and our course of action would be much like that of a paladins.

Yup. I stealth/vanish after being marked then immediately pop sprint and run at hunters all the time to open with a cheapshot even though the big red arrow is over my head.

Ah good. It's not as homosexual as Faerie Fire then. All I need to do is lay down a gouge on a hunter, then Vanish. If I couldn't stealth it would be annoying.

If you get hit with serpent sting too, you'll have to get real close to them and vanish/cheapshot in between DoTs from the serpent sting.
Sticky Glue works wonders for keeping a hunter in a place.

Of course it is...but you need to get to them first. The glue keeps them in place as you limp over to them from the concussive shots they've hit you with.

What is that big red arrow about anyway? Is it a spell? I see it a lot in PvP.

Does it do anything? Like cause damage, slow them down, or something like that? Or does it just attract other people's attention to your target?
CrystalTears

It alerts the hunter of the location of the target on their minimap, and increases range attack power for all attackers.

Hunters mark will also allow the hunter to see the target.
It will not pull you out of stealth, but, serpent sting will.
When in doubt spam flare.
Me (past the trapped rogues ) and a guildie (art) in ctf around a month ago, workin on our spacing for 2 freeze traps. I think we got it down perfectly :D
