I've got this nifty item that has a seven verse loresong, but because of it, I cannot tell its properties. Is there any way for a Bard to find these things out, perchance?

Tell me what it is and I should be able to tell you what it does :P

Loresong.
You sing:
"Wand in my hand
Tell me your value, I command!"
The harmonic vibrations that your song evokes in the platinum wand convey a sense of great age. At a rough estimate, the wand is worth 1 silver, but a collector of antiquities might be willing to offer a significantly greater sum.
Roundtime: 6 sec.
>loresing Wand in my hand; Tell me your purpose, I command!
You sing:
"Wand in my hand
Tell me your purpose, I command!"
As the platinum wand responds to your song, you sense echoes of ancient enchantment drifting softly through the resonances. It is difficult to say whether or not the wand is innately magical, but, if not, then it has certainly been exposed to a great deal of magical energy over an extended period of time.
Roundtime: 6 sec.
>loresing Wand in my hand; Tell me your magic, I command!
You sing:
"Wand in my hand
Tell me your magic, I command!"
The resonances of your music caress the ancient weave of enchantment within the platinum wand. You recognize both spiritual and elemental components, twisted together and permanently altered into a new form -- the unmistakable taint of sorcery.
Roundtime: 6 sec.
>loresing Wand in my hand; Tell me your special ability, I command!
You sing:
"Wand in my hand
Tell me your special ability, I command!"
As you sing to the platinum wand, you evoke the image of a short man with silver-streaked hair. He holds the platinum wand in his hands, studying it intently. As he turns it over, its brilliant gems glitter brightly as they catch the light, and he nods his approval. He signals to a liveried servant nearby, and the servant quickly comes to take the wand away. The vision drifts away from you as your verse ends.
Roundtime: 8 sec.
>loresing Wand in my hand; Tell me your history, I command!
You sing:
"Wand in my hand
Tell me your history, I command!"
Another vision comes -- a fleeting image of a ship's aging gangplank. Muscular human stevedores load the vessel under the wary, watchful eye of a liveried servant. The image of a silver hunting hound cradled in a white lily has been embroidered on the sleeve of his tunic. With sharp words, he orders the stevedores to take care with his master's cargo, and, as your senses narrow upon one particular coffer, you sense this platinum wand lying inside, so many centuries ago.
The vision flickers away, vanishing from your mind.
Roundtime: 6 sec.
>loresing Wand in my hand; Tell me your story, I command!
You sing:
"Wand in my hand
Tell me your story, I command!"
The vibrations of the platinum wand craft the image of a vast treasure room in your mind. This vision is much stronger than the image of the ship had been, for the platinum wand lay there for a much greater period of time. Guttering torches shed orange light across shimmering piles of gold and gems, all carefully fenced about by a web of sorceric enchantment. You sense human figures in the room, but their presences are frail and fleeting -- they come, they gaze, they touch, but they only rarely take anything away. Only the treasure remains through the years.
The vision draws to an end.
Roundtime: 6 sec.
>loresing Wand in my hand; Tell me your more, I command!
You sing:
"Wand in my hand
Tell me your more, I command!"
The image of the treasure room coalesces once more in your mind's eye, captured by the vibrations of your song.
The torches gutter and die, and people no longer come, but the treasure endures still. There are bejeweled dishes, gilded musical instruments, ceremonial pieces of armor and weaponry, exquisite jewels with a sparkling fire sufficient to make gnomes faint, and more beyond that, but it has all left to gather dust in an age when people no longer come to admire it. In the shadowy darkness, the treasure remains, and the web of sorcery remains, for years... decades... centuries.
Your verse winds to an end, and the image fades away.
Roundtime: 6 sec.

I believe it's a self-charging 111 wand, but not 100% sure.

Only things I've seen with 7 verse loresongs have been the stupid pavis' and another sparse item or two. Pretty much need to guess and check.

a slim platinum wand inlaid with square-cut firestones
XXXXXX polishes the jewels of his platinum wand to a perfect shine.
XXXXXX turns a slim platinum wand inlaid with square-cut firestones over in his hands, causing the jewels to sparkle in the ambient light.

You tried waving it at anything yet?
Stunseed

You wave your platinum wand at a rolton.
1d100: 60 + Modifiers: 230 == 290
You hurl a roaring ball of fire at a rolton!
AS: +317 vs DS: +55 with AvD: +70 + d100 roll: +1 = +333
... and hit for 108 points of damage!
Flames incinerate right arm to the bone. Not a pleasant sight.
The rolton collapses to the ground, emits a final bleat, and dies.
The roaring ball of fire strikes a rolton, blossoming into a much larger sphere of flame upon impact.
Wizard waved.

I'm guessing it is one of those self-charging wands from Anfelt.

I really should go through things more often. I found an unlimited pick lore rod, too.

What's the AI crystal say?

>touch cry
You touch the crystal with one hand, your platinum wand in the other hand. Tiny sparks of brilliant golden light dance across your wand. A pure high note sounds, echoing through the room.

Heh, I don't use the crystal to be honest. I used to know what it all meant, but it's slipped my mind.

9-16 charges.
Pure high note is 9-16 charges.
Didn't see StrayRogue's post. If you want to see if it recharges use it down to a clear even note then wait then try the crystal again after an hour, 24 hours, whatever to see if it charged up.

With the loresong being in a treasure hoard, and the scripts with the jewels, I'd be inclined to say it came from the quest on the Dhu and it was in one of the treasure piles.

it is from the dhu. unless they reused the loresongs for/from something else

Actually that lore song came with all the items that came from the last Dhu in the final treasure room.

If it's a new style recharger, wouldn't he have to use all the charges first?
