Yeah, I agree that Mr Quayle had the most amazing ability to put his foot in his mouth at the most in-opportune moment, and in the funniest way imaginable. It was truly awe-inspiring. Hearing one of his speeches was sort of like driving on black ice...you just knew that sooner or later...you where gonna witness an accident.
