Having spent 4 days with my friend's dog (he's in D.C.), I now do not want one.

He has a wehnmierrinner (or however you spell that) which is about a year old.

Yesterday, I was stupid enough to undo his leash BEFORE she went into the house. all hell ensued for the following 20 minutes as I tried to find a way to coax her back to me. In the end, the neighborhood children, who she found, helped me circle her and catch her. But god-damnit.

At least she behaves in the house, outside is a whole different world, and I am hardly familiar with how to control this pup (1 year old).


I'll post some pics of her and the cat sometime in the next 3 days, it is rather fun when I am not chasing after her or when I'm trying to keep the cat and dog from killing each other (usually they get along well.)

Anyway.. Any tips on how to properly train a dog to walk and discipline tips for public would be great.

anyway sometimes i throw food or what not into the place where my dog needs to be in the house or what have you
sometimes my dog is real dumb and i can fake her out by pretending to throw something that aint really there and shell still run thirty something feet and start sniffin round
like ballin up a piece of salami and not what not
