I remember that someone worked for Kaplan, and I remember that someone here had written for the GMAT.

Anyways, I need to retake the GMAT. I've taken it twice, and scored in the 96th and 94th percentiles respectively.

My problem:
My verbal score crushes my quant score. t

I wrote in my essays that my goal is to be a research analyst. An analyst position takes quant skills, and I never took math in college... nor was I an engineer/enginerd.

So, I'm looking to hire a tutor, or maybe invest in other study materials or possibly a prep course.

Does anyone know anything about Manhattan GMAT?

I took a Kaplan course, and while the study materials were great, my teacher was not the greatest... I don't know if I'd trust their private tutors based on my experience.

So, people with some knowledge in this area... where should I go?

In my job, I use more math than when I took the tests before, so I'm thinking that will help with the rust.

This is my last crack at this test. I'm not going through hell again to prepare for it. I'd like to make it count.

Hmm.

Maybe Powerscore is good in GMAT prep like they are in LSAT prep?

I will check that out...

But, I'm looking for more than "maybes"...

I'd go with Powerscore.

They hire the best teachers (only those who score 99% and above) and have smaller classes. If it's anything like the LSAT you'll have about 1/3 more in class time than with Kaplan or Princeton Review. I also found their workbooks very thorough.

It might have been my instructor but I felt this was well worth the money.

Never heard of Manhattan.
