Ok, has anyone tried that new venus razor that vibrates or something? I was thinking of trying it but I'm so tired of buying all these expensive girl razors to go back to my men's Gillette Mach 3.

Yeah, I'm posting in this category.

Saw a commercial for a new chick razor that just uses some kind of spray and then a razor with no metal blades (little rubber blades). WTF kind of solution is that, nair?

Let me know how your legs turn out if you buy it, Arkans. My mach 3 I use on my face is getting a bit dull.

Its just their version of the mach 3 power
From personal experence the guys one works better than the nonvibrating ones.

They have the same equivalent for men, Maryjane. Mach 3 Turbo or something. I tried it, but didn't really notice any difference if that helps you any.

Dave tries out all feminine products....well ok, most.

He assures me it is purely for research. ;)

And yeah, i have tended to stick with the mach 3 also.

I haven't tried the new venus razor, however I totally love the intuition. It is the one with the built in soap/shaving gel. I never get nicks and the soap/shaving gel leaves my skin really moisturized. I totally love it!

I like the Mach 3 that came free in the mail a couple years ago. The Schick Quarto's pretty awesome too, but not very convenient for bikini line area. It's too bulky for that area. Works good though once you get used to it.

Girl razors are just a gimmick and cost more than the mens' styles. I want the hair on my legs to be just as gone as a man wants the hair on his cheeks, so why shouldn't I use the same kind of razor!

The last time I bought a hair removal product marketed entirely for women was when I was stupid enough to try the Epilady.

I just KNOW some rat bastard of a woman hater thought up that sadistic piece of shit. One of the few times I've returned a product and demanded my money back.

As long as a shaver has at least a double blade it works fine. Although I do like the ones with the lube strip.

That's exactly what it is. The little scrapy thing just scrapes off the foam and hair once it is done.

Yummy.

I haven't tried the one for women, but the one for guys has been out for a while now and I love it. Definitely the best shave I've ever had ... in sensitive regions. I would definitely recommend it. :D

Isnt the foam shit like nair, more or less? and the razor just wipes it off.

So it's all in the foam.

But I dont really know, havent bought one.

This has got to be one of the damned funniest threads I have read in so long. I am still laughing.

I use an electric razor. A remington to be exact.

In case anyone cares, I don't shave my pits (blonde hair) so I don't have to worry about how it performs in that area.

4-5 times a month

There's really not much to shave. Some stubble on the upper lip, occasionally some right below lower lip and on chin.

I use Mach 3s and the blades will generally last me a month. Besides the flavor savor I don't really grow facial hair and I can shave like once every three days. My wife used to steal my Mach 3s because she says they work better than her razor(s). So I bought her one and we just buy the big pack of blades(freaking expensive fyi)

Damn right! I tried one of those for about 7.9 seconds & then my leg recovered from shock & the nerve endings went into a full throttle scream  I handed it back to the person who bought it for me & told him to toss it or return it but get it the f**k out f my sight before I mashed it to pieces.

On topic I haven't tried any kind of expensive new razor ever...a $3 12 pack of gillette razors works for at least 3 months.

Dark hair + pale skin = hair shows. Bad :(

Yeah.. Nair smells HORRIBLE. I would rather sniff bleach mixed with ammonia.

Anyways, the vibrating venus shaver doesn't do much of anything. It's.. weird, but it doesn't cut any better compared to the mach 3 turbos.

However, I absolutely LOVE Veet. It's the idea that Venus stole from. Has the blade less razor and it doesn't smell like Nair. If you're seriously going to try it, I suggest getting the starter kit. It has everything you need including a soothing lotion for after you're done shaving.

Also, it works well on "sensitive areas."

I liked veet too, but I stopped using it for something better.

I didn't like the intuition, it felt really big. The epilady scared the shit out of me, YES LET ME PUT THESE ROTATING COILS UP AGAINST MY LEG...that was definately some guy trying to get back at his cheating wife.

Michiko - are you saying you like the Mach 3 Turbo? That vibrates too?

I just realized I started this all because I've been slumming with my Sensor Excel because I accidentally bought the wrong blades and it sucks compared to the Mach 3. Am I the only person who changes their blade after one or two shaves?!

As soon as I can start blowing money on going to the spa every other day to get waxed... I'll do it. I tried nair for the first time last week actually (I bought the cucumber melon kind, it didn't smell bad) But it hardly worked. I was sad. Other then that... I like disposibles... But I might try that one that quite a few people on here apprently love.

It's not actually the Mach 3 Turbo, it's the Gillette version of it. The Gillette M3 Power or something like that.

And no, you're not the only one, I do the same thing... especially if it's for "sensitive regions" ... should always have a fresh blade for down there. :D

Jihna just likes the hot wax.

Myself, I prefer men's razors. Womens' are crap. Mach 3 is good. But I still use that yummy skintimates strawberry's and cream (works f'in awesome). No nicks. My body hair grows really really really really slow and is mostly blonde though, so I can get away with not shaving every few days. I don't know about you ladies who have to shave often.

Vibrations belong to sex, not shaving.

I never have to shave. Well, maybe once a year. I have blonde baby fuzz that might appear and I just get rid of that. I never have or had that stiff razor stubble. My daughter is so jealous. (she took after her dad and has to shave her legs all the time) So, I just use whatever razor she has lying around when my blonde fuzz appears. (think she mostly uses cheap disposables)

I barely have any hair anywhere except my head. Must be the Indian in me.

Darned Tootin! Bikini waxes hurt..the last one I had left me all owied for days. My eyebrows I have done on a regular basis, but man does it hurt,\. It also leaves me looking like I've set fire to my brow line for a day and half afterwards. I'm tempted to go in for another bikini line wax, now that it's summer, but..I'm such a chicken.

When I was younger, I envied the kids in my class who had 5 o'clock shadows fifteen minutes after shaving, homer simpson style. Six years later, I hate shaving. It just subtracts another 20 minutes from sleep in the morning. And sometimes I just can't get up; the only thing that saves me is while I do grow a lot, its blonde, so I can slide one day of shaving as long as I used a reasonable blade the day before. Use the Mach3, works great, haven't had a reason to try anything else, though blade packs are expensive.

Oh, amusing story. Freshmen year of college, I was in English class, and this crunchy er...alternative styled....women took the conversation towards business malpractice/monopoly, I don't know. Next thing ya know, she's telling us how she has never shaved her legs and thinks the razor companies are scamming us, they can definitely make razors that never go dull. She then lifts her skirt and provides proof of the first claim and I never could look at her again :p God damn it, even if they are ripping us off for an extra three bucks a month, you still need to shave your legs woman!

And Bob...I hear you're like, 16? Nothing against being young, I'm not much older, 23, but man will you learn there is a big difference between a Mach3 and a disposable, and you will pay for the more expensive razor, I promise you. Well, you get a free one when you turn 18 :)

I use my electric shaver when I drive to work. It's significantly safer than women putting on makeup to boot.

My eyes are always forward on the road, and I always have one hand on the wheel, and I just run it around my face. I then feel my face to see if I missed any spot. If it all feels smooth, I know I'm done. Then it goes into the arm rest area to be used in the next morning.

Friday, once home, I take it in to use and to recharge for the upcoming week.

First month I had my license, I was driving a automatic volvo 960...I wanted to drive down from my house in RI to my g/fs in long island, parents said hell no, not in that car. I said fine, I'll take the train car, which is stick. I hadn't learned to drive stick yet, they said, if you can go ahead, and to spite them, I did. Well...I learned to drive stick. After ten miles of bumper to bumper on the van wick going through new york, I was a pro. Trial by fire,
