has anyone burnt the back of their throat before?! I heated up my lasagna and took it out of the microwave, I took a lil piece off and popped it in my mouth.. I thought, DAMN THAT'S HOT. My teeth could barely touch it, but I didn't know what else to do so I swallowed. Freaking, my throat was on FIRE! It was stuck right there and I thought I was going to choke. Finally, it went down, but I feel like I have welts on the back of my throat :(
stupid hot cheese.

I'd be guzzling ice water all day if I were you.

Moved the thread to Off-Topic for you. :)
As for the throat burns, try a teaspoon of honey. It's very soothing, and has some healing properties.
First thing I thought when I read this post was Mary Jane didnt use the water bong.
Jack Daniels.
Gargle, then spit.
Or swallow and have a real good time.

I was waiting for someone to make the innuendo reference as to why she swallowed instead of spitting it out.
Or did that just count as it?
Guess my mind is just in the gutter at the moment... :smug:
Christ! I swallow food all the time.
Sometimes I swallow Jack Daniels.
Wow, I just turned myself on , so bad!

LOL I was thinking DeV gave me an excuse not to swallow!
I would have spit if I wasn't at work, but I didn't want anyone to catch me.
Why in the hell would I want to swallow JD?! You trying to have me cauterize the wound?! Ever have a Three wisemen shot?
I think I need to leave work early so I can have a beer to sooth the pain.
You're nuts!
JD is the only thing that's gonna stop it being infected. Plus it has all the qualities of TCP but gets you wasted. And tastes fucking amazing!
And I'm trying to get you drunk becouse I don't have a date tonight. Plus the thought of a burned throat. . .
Oh sweet Jesus, I'd better go to work.

I considered that but thought I'd have to sue myself for negligence. Maybe I could fill out a workrelated injury report and claim a few weeks off.

Ditto, plus it tastes great.
My aunt had me use it when i burned my mouth and throat on some overly hot tea.
You never realized how often you swallow till your throat is hurting.

But southern comfort smells WAY better on the breath than JD. Southern Comfort is kissable. JD is repulsive.
On the burnt throat, what HN said. Try some honey or even honey in milk. Milk will coat your throat as will the honey -- plus it just tastes really good. :)

When I drink, which is a very very rare occasion (last time I drank was when I tripped going down some stairs and totally F'd my back/tailbone up for a about a week), I like coconut rum in fizzy fruit flavoured water. Vulcan Mind Probes for shot drinks.
