I bought WoW a week ago, just have been traveling on business and not loaded it yet.

I wonder if I should suspend my GS accounts.

Make sure you loan me that DB before you do ;)

Are you going to join us on Dunemaul?

Or are you joining their server?

Do you know what class you're going to be?

Naw, probably not Dunemaul, they play on some other server (no idea what it was called. I think they all play alliance too.

As far as class, no idea, the dual weapon rogues look cool though, probably a dwarf or a gnome.

you can have multiple chars on multiple servers, so put one on Argent Dawn, one on Dunemaul, and one on the server with your familiy and see which char you like best.

That's what I did and now I have a hard time deciding which one to play.

Yeah, I hear ya. I bought it two weeks ago now and I've let two sets of XXX go by in GS now... I *never* would have done that before.

I was thinking of suspending my GS accounts, but then I thought that even if I suspend them today, it will be up to a month before they actually get shut off... who knows what will happen in a month? I may get burned out of WoW by them (my chief complaint of WoW is that it doesn't force you to take breaks, so I could see how one could burn out faster with it).

WoW is kinda easy to burn out on. I find myself needing to take a 3 days or so vacation every so often and then come back and tear through more levels. I can't wait until I'm capped so I can go around ganking fools in Duskwood and Redridge and then running away before the zerg come.

If you need to wait until cap to gank in duskwood and redridge, there is something seriously wrong.

Nah, I don't. I already have, being capped means I can then beat back some of the earlier zerg :P

You're a shaman...you should be able to beat back ALL of the zerg.

The shaman of The Barren Fury should take lessons from some of the others out there.

Watching Zraem fight actually makes me think Shaman are overpowered. I've seen him launch himself off his mount into 3 or 4 level 60 Alliance and actually win the fight. Also, Killerphish is like a friggin' tank. The first week in Alterac (when people were actually showing up), I think he lead all players with the most kills and only a handful of deaths like 3 of 4 days.

Maybe if Big Bad Bayne had more practice at 'pwning' he wouldn't find playing a shaman so boring.

Please share how a shaman can do this? I can take out one on one just fine, but just run out of steam (mana) when two professions are concerned and Paladin with their multiple life bars out last me. I just don't see it as a possibility.

Does your character's size matter though in any gameplay sense? I do all my targetting by hitting TAB, not by using a mouse.

We should move this to another folder...since it looks like he's choosing a rogue. But...

I don't know either. Does windfury hit multple targets? I didn't think it was a possibility either...but maybe that was from watching PB gimp his shaman for so long (man...these Bayne digs get easier and easier. )

The two times I recall, there wasn't a paladin in the group. And one time I jumped in to help him. But...hey, you can heal, wear mail, get rogues out of hiding, and disrupt spell casting. If you're quick enough I guess it's possible to take down a couple cloth wearers and rogues if you knock them outta stealth first.

Ignore Alorg. He's obviously delusional with his story about supershaman jumping off his mount and smoking 4 level 60's. Next he'll say he killed all 4 with one chain lightning!

I've noticed that about Dunemaul, few people I've met up with are willing to use any strategy. They just kill, find the next monster and kill it. No prep like, "okay I'll take the one on the left, you make sure the one on the right doesn't pwn me," or whatever. After looking around, I did eventually find some relatively smart people on DM though. Most of the guys I hunt with on a daily basis are in the Grateful Dead guild. They seem to be pretty smart, the ones I hunt with anyway.

For me, it's that I have two groups of people I know... my work crew is on MalGanis, and have recently started new guys, so I can hunt with them. The people I know from GS/PC are all on Dunemaul or Argent Dawn... AD always seems to have a wait to login, which I'm unwilling to deal with, and the people I've met from PC on Dunemaul are all level 45-60, so I never see them. A couple of PC people from Dunemaul have helped me out though, which is nice, and the gang on the guild chat have helped me with mechanics and stuff.

1. Windfury doesn't hit multiple targets.
2. You can only knock them out of hiding if you hit them before they hid. They can sneak past searing totem.
3. Shamans don't have the mana to be tossing down totems AND shocks AND heal. It's one of those options, not all, and the DoT on shaman totems is VERY average.

Overall, Shaman is most like a rogue when it comes to PvP. They can nuke the shit out of people 1v1, but when multiple classes come in, it's good night.

Also, we have a huge weakness when it comes to priests and paladins. The shield on priests can be dispelled, but not the paladin one and when they restore their whole life bar (more of a problem with paladin since they are plate wearers) our mana is just about tapped. Short and fast fights are what shaman are about.

PS: Shaman > Rogue.

I've only really played on Dunemaul, but the Horde are a lot smarter than the Alliance people I played with on Sarumar.

I joined the grateful dead and some of the members seem like real idiots. I'm sure they aren't all that way though since I have hunted with a couple who weren't too bad.

They just need to stop inviting every person they come across to join and be a little more selective.

Huh? I've had a wait to get on Argent Dawn like 3 times in the past 2 months, none of which were more than 10 minutes.
