Foraging and Imbedding

Ok, so does level or spells determine how many charges a ranger rod can hold? Where can a ranger forage for said rod?

Can 513 be imbedded? What about 712?

No for 712, however it shows up on spells decently.

Unless something has changed, you first need to forage sticks and have the ranger create rods and wands from them. The next thing would be SMC, Ranger Spells known, and location, these all determine how much mana the items will hold.

As for the two spells, not sure if either can be imbedded. I can think of a few rangers currently whom can make rods at a decent percentage out of sticks, which will hold a full 80 mana.

Sticks - Ranger Style

Cast Nature's Touch, from the N gate in Landing, southwest, south all the way, kneel, cast Foraging, forage stick x5, stand, southwest, repeat until you get something like.

I believe rods vs wands depends entirely on the number of spells known in the ranger circle. At least in GS3, it may be different now.

And the amount of mana it holds is related to Mana control spiritual, I believe (or it was last time I tried).

Sticks you can get pretty much anywhere that isnt on a main road or town-like area.

SMC does make a difference. Before dropping to 24 ranks in SMC, I could make rods at about 85-90% of the time. Now, it's more like 60%. Best thing you can do is sit down somewhere outside ( the boulder, your favorite shrine, etc. ) cast 625, and begin to Imbue. Before my exile from Mule, I used the forgotten shrine out in Thyrils as my Imbue spot.

the path through nymphs has alot of sticks. Gotta go about halfway to find em though. As of GSIV it is a combination of ranger spells known and SMC, I forget what it was in GS3 but I remember suspecting mana share to come into the formula. If you need grass to make bracelets/anklets check the fields south of the bridge that is south of the landing.

edit: when imbuing make sure nature's touch is up. I never got confirmation but I always had better results in an outdoor node with armor off and natures touch running.
