How nodes really work

Alright, so I just want to make sure I understand earthnodes. I’ve never really cared in the past cause I knew if I wasn’t getting mana I could cast 418 and if it wasn’t sancted I could cast 213. But with the 3x experience I want to make sure I know whats going on so I don’t waste it. So an earthnode is a spot where you get extra mana and EXP absorption? And if so is that what Tsoran’s maps consider an earthnode? Cause I know the park and niche give bigger pulses than TSC and many other “nodes” on his maps.

I'm pretty sure the blackened rooms on Tsoran's maps are usually permasancts or "safe" rooms. He hasn't updated (apparently) since TSC lost it's permanent sanctuary.

You do get more exp and mana on an earthnode per pulse than you would otherwise.

That can't be, cause he has like half the town as permasancts. And whats the right way to check for an earthnode? Get a wizard to sense?

in towns they are darkened as well for being shops

Wouldn’t the easiest way be to sit in one spot and watch how much mana and exp you gain as opposed to another spot? IMTC should be one.

Yes, Backlash. We get 25% for on node, 15% for off. If you have mana control, you get +1 for every 10 ranks. If you have 2 mana controls, it's more complicated, and I don't feel like looking it up. It doesn't round, so you need at least 8 mana to check with this method.

Way too complex latrin, just stand somewhere you know isn't a node, watch your exp gain per pulse at whatever head level, and watch your mana gain. Then you know your base, if its higher then you are in an exp node or mana node, or both.

And around the landing those black rooms have a high probability of also being exp nodes and mana nodes.
