why not just leave the crypt?

I thought Saberwolv was in charge of the crypt.
It's the perfect place to pick on folk who are small in train.

Because then you have to go back to the landing, and its pretty much the same?

<ducks>

My sorc's been hunting out there too, and the roleplay is non-existent, except for perhaps two or three people i've met. I just try to stay quiet.

I sometimes run by the graveyard for favor runs, up in pookas and nightmares. At nearly 50 trains, I'd try and atleast curb the bad acts and OOC sayings. I'm not gods gift to rping, but I keep the OOC down at least, try not to spoil everyone else's "mood", even if they don't appreciate my rp. I would stop by and maybe give that guy a whispered warning/encouragement to stop it.
But then I realize he probably bought a capped character and I'd get stunned into oblivion. Or is that only in Illistim?

yeah... Im currently attempting to leave all OOC sayings to psinet and whispers...

RP a bit... etc.

Eesh, the crypt got bad if that's the norm. Not to reminisce too much, but I used to go down there with Nilandia and a bunch of friends and we actually would RP. I remember one day when someone actually RP'ed that the trash urn was trying to suck them in. Very amusing.

I think it all depends on where you are...there are "Gems" like that everywhere.

Scary that they probably thought they were Rpins too..:lol:

The ones that buy capped characters for that reason usually migrate to the landing for that very purpose/ability.

If they do that in Illistim they usually get turned out like yesterday's underwear.

The crypt was in my opinion better before they permasancted it. I know that's when I stopped spending any time there. I hardly ever got into any fights, but I used to hang out there with friends, and as odd as it sounds... a lot of time our presence there would keep the 50 or so train bullies from picking on the real little ones since they knew we'd hand their ass to them if they tried to.

If they add a 90+ train area to the graveyard it would eventually get better there too... but I wouldn't want to take away from the sanctity of OTF. I miss illistim...

I'd love it if there would be more undead capped critters to hunt. My capped empath is brawl/shield and I'd give serious consideration to mastering voln again just to be a foo monster.

It was fun in the crypt when Wezas and Edine were there. Turned for the worse once they sancted.

That place reminds me of somewhere I grew up in game.
Now when I visit, I feel totally empty and shit.
GS was best when you hadn't a fucking clue what was going on.

Whenever I think back on the feeling of newness to any MUD/RPG, heck even Pen and Paper RPing, it makes me wish I could be so ignorantly blissful again. Not saying they should change mechanics or something, settling in and being jarred out of place are completely different things (F 3rd edition... they lost me on GS4, only to get me back much later)

I killed her on more than one occasion. So I didn't mind, being the smug prick that I am.

Don't have a log of you killing her, but one just for old time's sake:

Calean gestures at Bhambi.
CS: +702 - TD: +522 + CvA: +2 + d100: +44 == +226
Warding failed!
Bhambi is suddenly engulfed in brilliant white fire!
... and hits for 22 points of damage!
... 50 points of damage!
Skin and some muscle burnt off chest.
She is stunned!
... 40 points of damage!
Icy shards bombard Bhambi's head and exit her ear, leaving little behind!

* Bhambi drops dead at your feet!

Bhambi stopped coming around at the start of GS4. The level compression made me capable of kicking her ass on a constant basis.
