Chicago gathering?

I was not planning on going home during block leave but got some news that made me change my mind.
Needless to say, Thursday the 7th of July, I have a meeting with a Czeska at Gibsons Steak House in Chicago, it will be in the evening, and late, but I was wondering if any of the local Chicagoans wanted to go as well.

Time line we are looking at is LATE, around 10 o clock for the reservation though I will prolly be there a bit early tasting different beverages at the bar just so things go a bit more smoothly.

25 minute flight ... the cab right to would cost more than the flight.

The L costs 5 bucks for a day pass and travels from O'Hare to downtown chicago. So, we're looking at less than 1 hour to downtown Chicago for the cost of a cab ride to the airport.

I cant picture it either... closest I can think of to that area is next to Woodfield... and there's one just west of the area in Naperville. Not like I keep track of the hooters in the Chicago area anyway, but just what I can recall.

I'm still exhausted from being up so late last night and it was a struggle to get up for work this morning. However, I had a really nice time. I want to crawl back into bed though and :sleep:

Kelly and I had a really nice time despite her getting hit on by two gents no more than 5 seconds of walking into Gibson's, heh; the filet mignon was delicious; the drinks were just right. It was neat to finally put a face to a name and posting style.

Czecka was funny and cool.
Dave was himself as well as a gracious host.
Angela was looking good.

We didn't take any pictures even though I told my girlfriend we should have brought the digital. Dave, Czecka, and Beth may have taken some later in the evening when we split but unfortunately I have none to share.

All in all it was a good time.

we didnt think about it until just after you two left :( czeska has the few we took.

IT was a good time though. My first time being open about my geekyness... Please dont tell anyone...

Thanks for the awesome night guys...!! Dave you were super nice, and an awesome host. Czecka was so sweet even though I didn't really know her. Dev and Kelly were cool too. Justin and I got there early because we shopped downtown for awhile and the drinks were super strong... but you paid for it too. It was a very nice dining experience as well after we sat down. Champagne, talk of gemstone, yada yada ya. Gave handshakes and took off around midnight. Afterward Justin and I hit up some bar about 10 minutes away and met up with some of his friends, then proceeded when that closed to hope on the train to go to some dance club downtown that was open until 4... where we got harrassed by some guy wanting to sing a song for 20 bucks. Then we danced the night away till 4, Justin's friends got hungry and wanted to go eat (I was exhausted but went anway) and we finally got home around 6 am. lol. It was one hell of a night.

I'm brought to the speculation that for whatever reason, Dave was posing with his shirt off (see his last post prior to this one) ... and Czeska then realized that the picture seemed to indicate that Dave's upper chest was not "flat" (subtle enough of a hint I believe) and thus the horror of the possible aftermath if it was posted here on the Forums.
