I'm pretty easy to please in the movie department. My favorite movies are the movies that make me laugh or comfort me by taking my mind of whatever in real life by whatever means.

Loves!:
1. Clue
2. Desperado
3. Tie between any Jet Li movie (because he's the sexiest little scarred Chinese man in the world) and Brotherhood of the Wolf.

Hates!:
I couldn't organize these in any kind of order because I just hated them so fucking much... so... in no particular order!
Van Wilder
Pulp Fiction (flame away, Tarantino-lovers!!)
Crossroads (What.. the.. fuck..)
Blade II (I love comic books. I usually love comic book movies... I liked Blade. But Blade II was ASS.)
The Scorpion King (I've come for the woman... and your head!)
Crash (What sick FUCK thought this up?!)

About to settle into Brotherhood (fucking awesome flick) if my roomate dosen't want to drive to our local.

And Blade II and Crash were awesome. Bow down daisy duke.

1. Shawshank Redemption
2. Scarface
3. Requiem for a Dream

1. Any movie that has a plot even remotely similar to 'My Best Friend's Wedding.' More evidence that all women are clearly completely, utterly insane. Hey, it's another desperate woman in her 30s who'll do anything to get married! Ugh. I have never gone to a movie like that of my own free will.
2. Finding Forrester (it's only redeeming factor was any scene with Busta Rhymes and the last scene where Sean Connery shouts, 'You the man now, dawg!' There. I just saved you two long, pointless hours).
3. Anything directed by Quentin Tarantino

Edaarin has good taste in flicks.

1. Jersey series (Dogma, Chasing Amy, Mall Rats, etc. I got em all)
2. Bicentenial Man ( I don't care I love that movie)
3. Godfather (all of them though III was lacking)

Old school a close 4, with Dark Crystal right behind it that movie rocked.

I don't hate many movies, I have a really good imagination so I tend to get into movies. Horror flicks kick ass and I'll be the 220 pound guy that jumps and holds on to the 100 pound wifey in the theatre (laugh all you like it's true) what can I say I get into good flicks.

Yes
1. Matrix (all)
2. X2
3. Eh.. kind of a mix of the rest of my favorites. Spiderman, Bruce Almighty, Moulin Rouge, lots of others i can't think of.

NO!
1. Hope Floats (don't ask)
2. Any Arnold Schwartzeneger movie
3. Ghost of Mars
There are probably lots more on this list but I have an english paper to finish (start).

I keep seeing Desperado popping up. Have any of you guys seen the prequel to that? El Mariachi. It's pretty good, and I think my film teacher told us it was shot on a minimal budget. Something under $200,000.

That's not a period.

I want to say it was shot on something as low at $50,000, but I'm not for sure. I know it was under $200,000, though.

I live in Austin, which is Rodriguez's city... or we consider ourselves so. Opening night on ANY of his films... and I mean, ANY.. even the Spy Kids stuff, is always sold out in every theater in town.

We know all about him and one little bit of trivia that I thought was great was that to get the money to film El Mariachi (which I did see, but I'm going to be trite and say I though Desperado was better than, but Once Upon a Time in Mexico was worse than) he did six months of medical testing. You know.. they pay you to take some drug or placebo or procedure and then document the results or side effects.

Now that's dedication.

StrayRogue

Scientific testing is pretty safe and incredibly well paid. Its saved my worthless broke ass a few times in college.

I'd do it, but I never have whatever they're looking for at the time they're looking for it. Or they want to do the testing at a time that I can't work around. Maybe when I really run low on money I'll start harvesting my eggs.

I got to see Shawshank for the second time the other evening, and I think I enjoyed it even better than the first time I saw it since I was looking for all the other little things in it too. Definitely one of my favorites.

And Dextra, Clue KICKS. It's probably my sister's favorite movie, and I can't argue with her decision either, seeing as it's one of mine as well.

Pick just three?! Oyi.

Best:
Lord of the Rings (all of them)
The Matrix (ditto)
X-Men (same)

Worst:
Ishtar (Dustin Hoffman must have been desperate, and I can't stand Warren Beatty)
Highlander movies (I'm sorry, I know, what an outrage, but watching Christopher Lambert makes me twitch)
All sequels of horror movies, i.e. Friday the 13th, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Jaws, etc.

If you haven't seen these movies you should rent them, then hang yourself when you realize you've been walking around like a moron for too long to be tolerated:

1. The 13th Warrior (Great feel for nordic myth, lots of monsters, swordplay, and ass kicking)
2. High Plains Drifter (Man does Clint kick ass on those pathetic pukes that screwed him over, even screws a few of them, literally)
3. The Holy Grail (I can't believe no one else listed this, what's wrong with you people !? Life of Brian too, wake up !)

If you liked any of these movies please castrate yourself or whatever it takes to keep you from reproducing:

1. Home Alone (Die punk, die !)
2. The Rock (only Nicolas Cage can make a movie with Sean Connery and Ed Harris blow chunks)
3. Every Movie Jean Claude Van IcantactworthaDam ever made (two words: acting lessons)

The last James Bond film was a pile of crud as well. Where to begin on how bad that was...how about after several years in captivity, he is still strong and fit, still has a nice set of pearly whites, hasn't any broken bones, no sensitivity to light...God I hated it.

Blade 2 was poo as well.
