OHE ambushing RT's

Is it possible to ambush with a longsword (or any other 4 base speed weapon) in five seconds?

If so, what is the required AGI/DEX bonus?

The numbers for RT reduction based on AGL/Dex bonus are...

Note this is the combined bonus of AGL and DEX. If your stat booster will get you enough to put you over one of these thresholds, then yes you will get another second off your RT down to the minimum swing time for that weapon(Or Minimum swing time + 1 second for ambushes), and then it only effects things like encumberance penalties(For rt) or mstrike RT.

I havnt been able to get below 6 seconds for any OHE except a dagger which is at 4 with my ambushing OHE rogue.

I've ambushed with a shortsword @ 5 seconds, so I dunno, daggers should be 3.. but that's an elf with maxed out dex/agl

Daggers should not be at 3. Atleast not with ambushing.

oops. (max dex, agl and str) = 4 second dagger ambush, 5 second shortsword ambush and 6 second other OHE ambush RT.

not sure what stats factor in exactly, just the ones I think relate to encumbrence, and speed.

Longsword is definitely 6 seconds, with 105 dex and agility as a sylvan.

Short sword or dagger is really your only choice.

Ambush RT is always a minimum 1 RT above swing RT.

Longswords have a minimum 5 swing RT, and therefore a minimum 6 ambush RT. The same goes for claidhmores.

And further idiocy of this system an even base speed is grouped up, so scimitars are also min 5s swing and 6s for ambush.

You'd need a combined dex+agl of 68. Halflings can do it.
