So now he's opening up an investigation into Mr. Schiavo stating that he wants to make sure he called the paramedics intime w/Terri's episode that caused her to fall into the deteriorated state of being.
Can we drop the damn thing!?! How in the world did Jeb wake up in the morning and decide on that one?

I think this is his way of catering to the religious right that helped get him re-elected.
I agree though.. let it go.

God he a pathetic panderer.
In the words of Wezas... perhaps he feels he does alright with half a brain. There is obviously something wrong with Mr. Schiavo for thinking his wife couldn't do the same.

I guess it's true for Jeb. My original statement was about ParkBandit, though.

Can he get re-elected after two terms?
Michael said his wife collapsed at 4:30am, he called 9-11 at 5:40am. The Schlinders believe she could have collapsed as early as 2 or 3 am.
The autopsy report found no evidence Terry had an eating disorder, as Michael claimed. The paramedics on the scene gave Terry an antidote to an opiate overdose, as they do in all such case. The antidote would have fooled the simple drug test they gave Terry at the hospital.

Okay but at this stage in the game, so what? What is this really about now? Justice? Revenge? Finding out whose peepee is bigger?
Seriously now, it won't make one iota of a difference anymore. Why drag this out any further? Let the woman rest and drop it already.
The more the parents continue this mess, the more they lose public sympathy and come off as less about the daughter and more about their own gratification.

If they had the information about the time difference all these years, why bring it up now? 4:30... 5:40... who's to say it was really 4:30 when she collapsed and 4:40 when the paramedics called. Or 5:30 when she collapsed and 5:40 when called?
People can get things like that mixed up when they are stressed. If someone collapsed on me, I'd be stressed and not thinking totally straight.
The parents need to get over it and move on, and the Bush's need to stop sticking their nose into the situation to make it worse.

The last paragraph of this article is the only thing that makes sense. He's setting up a presidential run. Way to take advantage of a dead corpse. I guess he's learning well from his brother.

The 911 call was logged and the time for when she collapsed came from Michael.

Makes little sense to pursue this, if he is considering a Presidential run. His position on this matter is/has been very unpopular even among Republicans.

Way to jump to baseless conclusions. He's stated very often that he has no Presidential aspirations... and even if he did, the hatred towards George W. have made it impossible.

If by loves you mean thinks is a good Governor.. you are correct.
Like his brother George W and his father.. I believe they are good people doing the best job they can in an ethical manner. I don't agree with some of the things they have done or said.. but I don't just put blind stamps of approval on someone because of the party they are in.

C'mon PB. You're a Republican. You obviously stand for everything they do or you're not really a Republican. You can't pick and choose what issues you agree with, you have to agree with all of it! /sarcasm

Everyone concerned, and everyone who should remain out of it and isn't, should allow this poor girl to rest in peace. To continue to keep the whole, horrible business in the public eye is reprehensible, in my opinion. Let it go.

If Michael had any part in her collapse or delayed in calling the paramedics, it would be reprehensible to not pursue it.

They couldn't prove that she had half a brain and was blind while she was still alive, if that's what you want to call it, but yet they have the resources to find out what role her husband had in her collapse... Wow.

Because it would keep her alive longer? Oops, to late.
It's reprehensible (to me) that they want to continue to drag this out. If they win, what do they gain? Nothing but the ability to say "I told you so!". She's still gone. Let the woman rest, for Pete's sake!

The question that I asked myself was what evidence of an eating disorder were they seeking? -Electrolyte imbalance? I think that goes away once rehydration is established; further, I'm sure her electrolytes were all kinds of messed up after meeting the kind of end she did.
I'm curious as to what would or would not prove she had or did not have an eating disorder in short. Any nurses/docs here want to shed some light?

Who cares about the eating disorder? (Not to be mean to you Elanthian Siren)
The woman was kept alive a heck a lot longer than she wished to be!
Now she's chopped up!
And lastly the govt. is investigating her case AFTER SHE DIED!!!!
Lets just kick her head around the block a couple of times for good measure....
Please please can we bury the poor woman and all have a moment of silence in her honor?

I care about the eating disorder because someone has attempted to say that she never had one and thus insinuate there were other causes for her collapse.
If these individuals want to insinuate that, while other medical witnesses have said otherwise, I want proof before I believe that she didn't have a disorder. I agree, they should leave it alone, but it seems they're unwilling.

I think it was obvious that her parents were acting on their own interests and not their daughters when they admitted that even if Terri had written a living will, they would have challenged it (it was in one of the many CNN articles back in March).
I don't understand how they can even be making the claim that she collapsed hours before her husband called 911. Did they live with her at the time? Was she supposed to be checking in with them every hour and stopped calling at 2AM? Also, I'm not a medical expert, but I've had the impression that if someone stopped breathing for over an hour, I doubt they could be resucitated.
There could be a lot of reasons why she collapsed. Sometimes people just have hidden health problems...A boy at my brother's school collapsed on the football field when his heart stopped because of a genetic defect that had been undiagnosed. I don't think the issue is important anymore. Her family needs to grieve and move on, and stop slandering her husband.
All of this media drama has shown me that her parents are selfish people who crave attention. So many other families have had to make the difficult decision on what their loved ones would want, but this is the only case I know of that got congress to pass emergency legislation. This is a tragic situation for any family to face, and the way the media has been using her is sickening. The story never should have made it to national news in the first place.
