Aaaaaalright then.

So the three of us who showed for the afternoon tea discussed the situation at hand.

I've decided to hold ANOTHER get-together next month, July 16th (that's a Sunday, folks) at 1pm eastern time. (gain 10am for us west-coasters). It will be held in Solhaven this time, down at Cafe Dumont.

Obviously, we've come up with a name for the group, which is still in the stages of construction.

We figured things such as, afternoon tea (of course) fashion shows, wine tastings, and the like will be mainly what this group focuses on. Any other ideas are highly encouraged.

Any other questions can be brough up here or you can email me.

Maybe we could attend events together, such as the Grand Art Exhibit that was held in Solhaven on the 4th?

I wish they were having another summer/fall of cultural fests like they did last year. :(

But yeah, sign Michiko up! This will be so fun, I can't wait to help out.

edit: Damnit, I won't be able to make the one in July, either. I have a class from like... 1-5 PM EST. ARGH!

Hehe, that sucks.

Online courses are the SHIT. After mine ends this month they finally mail my degree out!

Jaysehn is interested! :saint:
He's afraid of it being women-only, though. Not that I blame him. :D

My ranger would have so loved to follow these ladies around (hidden, of course) just to see what they did. She always considered herself such a heathen, and hid and watched those she felt were "real ladies", trying to figure out the hidden secrets of proper deportment. ;)

mmmm, sounds interesting. I'm not sure that my warrior would fit in -- she's a little uhh... touch my family or my friends and I kill you -- but maybe my empath. Is there any additional info you can give us Jesae?

<<Online courses are the SHIT. After mine ends this month they finally mail my degree out!>>

Good luck with that.

"Hello, I have a degree that I got from my computer!"
"That's very interesting, this person right here has a degree that he got from going to a real university. You don't get the job."

most online degrees come from real universities. There are certain core studies that don't require going into a classroom -- for instance: I know someone who got their MBA online from a reputable Jesuit college in PA. You just have to check and make sure the root school is legit because that name is what will be on your diploma.

One of my most memorable times in Gemstone was when Jolena was at a merchant in Solhaven and this heathenistic little girl was there acting out. Jolena, after being fed up with the behavior and deducing she had NO home training WHATsoever (hehe), snatched her up by the arm, escorted her outside and promptly started talking to her about the etiquette of a "Lady". It was a blast and the player of said heathen had so much fun that she said something about it on the official boards later.

Bob, sometimes you say the most incredibly stupid shit, that I can only let it counterbalance with your smart, computer-nerd tendencies.

Back on topic though, this group is not reserved to just women. Not by a long shot. In fact, one of the ladies is bringing her husband to the event next month because he would LOVE IT.

Anyone really, is allowed to attend. So long as they leave their snert-like behavior at home. I want to get an idea of how this is all going to flow before I start setting rules and stuff.

This sounds like a neat idea. Not sure any of my current chars would fit in, my main being mostly insane and most of them staying/prefering Illistim for now... Always looking for some good RP expericences though. Enjoy!

Those red hat ladies were at the Wynn the other week, and I saw them at other places all over Vegas. They're wacky.

Its a huge movement from what my Mom says. She also says that they're a little too goofy for her to feel the need to join.

Don't you have to be at least 50?

From what I've been told...

Red Hats are over 50.

Pink? Hats are under 50.

So you can be any age and be involved.

"There are no official rules, although we have some rather strong suggestions, the first of which is regarding red hat attire. Of course, to be a Red Hatter, one should wear a red hat and a clashing purple ensemble at all meetings to keep up the spirit and purpose of the (dis)organization. We also suggest rather strongly that women under 50 stick to the pink hat and lavender attire until THE BIRTHDAY..."

Alrighty. Zaaf, Nashara, and Aemergin all showed up, and expressed an interest in joining the Society. According to Nashara, Rextivius would also be interested.

Naessi wants to join ASAP, hopefully there will be a meeting I can come to soon! Shiril has expressed an interest as well.

Too bad I don't play anymore. Brief log from about a year and change ago.

>You are holding a milk white china teacup in your right hand.
You are wearing a tiny bloodjewel stud in the upper ridge of his left ear, a golden key tattoo, a tattooed symbol of Jastev, and a Rogue Guild tattoo.

I wouldn't be surprised if Edaarin admits he has a Nalea gown too. Can you imagine him with that tea cup?

Take note of what else my rogue had on in that snapshot.
