If you were allowed to have one super power, what would it be? Consider the ramifications and/or difficulties along with the benefits.
For example. I would choose shape-shifting. But trying to describe it realistically, I would venture you could only shape shift into another living organism and your body mass cannot change. So if you turned into a chicken, you'd be a big ass chicken. If you tried a t-rex, you'd be a baby ass t-rex.

Not only that but think about what you could do with that in a fight!
If someone is aiming a gun at you you'll know if they're really going to squeeze the trigger or not. You can dodge out of the way before they even fire the gun. You can side step every single one of somebody's punches because you know here it'll be going.
That would be pretty sweet. :)

ESP is what id want. I wouldnt want to know peoples thoughts as i think some pretty strange things, knowing everyone elses strangeness would probably make me wanna be a serial killer.

I think If I could have the choice, I would like to read people's minds, but be able to tune people out at will. Only read the people I WANT To. Some I just don't want to know. :D

I'd have mind control. You wouldn't need invisibility if you could control their mind not to see you. You wouldn't need to know if someone's going to pull the trigger or punch you if you could control them not to even pull out the gun or hit you.

Thats what my co-worker picked but I started thinking and we had to sort some things out. For example... is she altering gravity, her own gravity, or is she really strong and jumping real far?
How fast could she go? She dosen’t have super speed so is it as fast as she could run? Realistically, she wouldn’t be able to go up too high in the atmosphere without freezing or suffocating. But that gives her an excuse to make a cool super flying suit that had thermal protection and possibly some oxygen tanks.
After a while she decided she would rather control weather because that way she could summon up some wind to carry her around.

I know many wouldn't consider this a good super power, but I'd like the ability to breathe underwater, I'd be the shit. I wouldn't even mind having those little gills behind my ears like in Waterworld. :D
It would be fantastic to swim around in the ocean with no fear of drowning. Of course I'd still have to worry about pressure of the water crushing my body but I swear I'd stick to reef area's! Then I'd be more willing to learn to surf without that worry of smashing my head on coral, going unconcious, and drowning.

How would that work though? Would you have to touch people with the disease to cure them? Or could you wave your hand and cure a crowd at a time? Either way, you'd be pretty busy, unless you just wanted to snap your fingers and make all disease in the world disappear at one time. But then you'd be left with nothing to do.

Definitely stop time. Though there would have to be ground rules like certain inatimate things you interact with (slot machines) could function while you use them. Plus you could pull some serious pranks, make all the money you'd ever need, etc.

I’d definately go with shape-shifting into other life forms with unchanged body mass. I could be a shark or dolphin, a big ass vulture so I could fly, a big venomous snake for defense, a cheetah... well, quite a wide range of use.
Heck, if I got tired of working, I could live like a panda in a zoo for a while.

This power would be great if you could also cause disease. You could hold everyone in the world in fear thinking one day you might just get bored or pissed off and just snap ... it all comes back ten fold.

You know, I did think about that. Being human and attracted to human women, if I were a horse for a while and met a lady horse, she'd probably be disappointed because while my body changed my mind wouldn’t.

I would want the ability to teleport anywhere in the world...even backward or forward in time just by thinking about where it is I would like to be. Anyone who is holding my hand would be able to teleport with me as well.

Haha, my boss is in it now so we all have to pick a power, a kryptonite a costume and a name next Tuesday. Shes going to have one of the illustrators we work with draw us all up.

Teleportation. I hate traveling from place to place not to mention the expense. If I could teleport I'd visit the pyramids, the Great Wall of China and lounge around the Greek isles at whim. I'd also go see a kangaroo in the wild instead of sitting in a plane for 22 hours or however long it is (which will never happen).
