View Full Version : Hatred of athletes.

Which athlete would you love to see punched in the mouth... and gladly pay-pay to help pay their fine?

Try to explain why... just don't put a name.

Alonzo Morning- steals kidneys from people who need them. Stole millions from Nets and Raptors. Celebrates and taunts on routine plays. Just an all around horrible human being.

Manu Ginobli- Flops on D like he plays for the Argentinian national soccer team. Drives completely out of control to the basket, and is unnecessarily rewarded with foul shots. He looks like Soda Popinski trying to throw an uppercut. Makes a million faces/fist pumps a game. Reminds me of an obnoxios Roberto Benini... if there is such a thing, Manu has got it down.

Claude Lemiex- He's French Canadian. He cheapshotted Chris Draper against the boards at the end of a game resulting in a young Draper breaking his jaw and getting hundreds of stitches. Watching him turtle on the ice while being mercilessly pounded by Darren McCarty was easily a top ten moment in my young life.

Vince Carter- The most overhyped player of all time, Vince purposely didn't try so he would be traded to the Nets. He's probably the biggest asshole on the list, but because everyone already knows this, it's not as important.

Roy Jones Jr.- Hid in the light heavyweight division his entire career. Talked shit like he was the greatest pound for pound fighter ever, and then got justice served with two crushing KO's to end his career.

Prince Naseem Hamed- I was even happier to see him lose than Roy Jones. This British born would dance for ten minutes BEFORE he got into the ring, and then dance around.

Which athletes make your blood boil?

Michael Irvin - Loud-mouthed, cry-baby, coke head. He whined after every play in which he didn't catch the ball. In his mind, if he didn't catch the ball, it must've been pass interference. Worst of all, he was one of the BIGGEST abusers of pushing the DB off to catch the ball.

Thankfully, instead of having to pay the fine from someone punching him in the face, I got to watch his career end on one swift six foot head first fall onto the hard turf [concrete] of Veterans Stadium.

Certain egomaniac basketball players that everyone seems to worship but can't seem to retire gracefully, instead go back again and again and again and AGAIN until they are drummed out of the sport in disgrace.

Loser.

Keller

Kordel Stewart - 95 Fiesta Bowl

Shaq - talk about egomaniac. He shows up three straight years out of shape and then wants a massive contract at the end of his career. After being traded he FINALLY gets in shape to "prove" himself.

T.O. - His documented attitude problems aren't worth his God-given athletic ability. A true leper.

Also, all the football players who threatened to stonewall ESPN if they did another season of "Playmakers" because it wasn't "how things really are in the NFL." No shit Sherlock, you meant it was overly dramatized? And here I thought emulating the people in "Las Vegas" was the way to do my job!

I loved that show.

Hell ya I hate that fucker. Although it was kind of entertaining to see him knock people out with that unorthodox style, it was much better watching him get his ass handed to him.

I can't stand the whole Indiana Pacers basketball roster. They whine more then a newborn baby in church. Especially that Reggie Miller...not only is he one of the ugliest human beings born on this planet, but damn with all his exaggerated motions and flopping around after the tiniest of hits.. In my book, that's cheating.

Give the whole team on oscar for best dramatic role by a basketball team, but they will never get a championship trophy, because cheaters never win.

Jeremy Roenick, Brett Hull, Chris Chelios

Incredible US hockey players that bitch and whine and take shots at the game. Roenick could become the poster boy for US Hockey, yet instead he'd rather bash the game and belittle his opponents (who, consequently own him and the Flyers 9 times out of 10).

Chelios made a comment last year during the labor dispute something akin to "You don't believe what they've done to us." What...made you rich beyond your wildest dreams?

Terrel Owens, for obvious reasons. Although I told all my friends that're Eagles fans that something like this would happen...so I shouldn't hate him for proving me right.

If by unorthodox style you mean illegal. He would hit with the back of the hand more often then not with his lifting punches. He's a complete bitch.

The athlete doesn't have to murder someone to hate the way an he plays or his demeanor.

<< (who, consequently own him and the Flyers 9 times out of 10). >>

The Flyers were a game away from the Stanley Cup series last year... how did anyone own him or the Flyers, besides the Lightning (and a 7 game series is not an owning).

Flyers are usually pretty good.

Usually pretty good. I wasn't talking about one season. But besides the last season...how often did the Flyers beat the Devils or Sens in the playoffs?

I'd always get a chuckle when Roenick would actually have the nerve to call the Devils 'unskilled'. The same Devils that were Stanley Cup champs the year before, and dominated the Flyers in every important game.

I found it insulting that he'd disrepect his opponents like that, especially a classy organization (that consequently really had the Flyers number for the past decade). It's not like he was referring the Leafs.

Well, I don't have much to say about the Devils, they just got the better than the Flyers for the most part.

Any of them that makes six to eight figures and then cries (or strikes) over not getting paid enough. Soldiers, teachers, and firemen don't get paid enough, and they do something a lot more important than playing a game.

I have friends and family members that're teachers (and a step-father that made sergeant on the local police force).

They all make plenty. Sure, NYPD and NYFD don't make enough (and that's the same case with most city police/fire forces), but the ones in the suburbs do just fine.

Can you say retired by age 50 with 80% pension?

And teachers...give me another profession with that many vacation days and that type of job security?

It's the only sport going that's still white, that's gotta be good for something. NASCAR doesn't count cause it's dumb.

My picks:

1. Tiger Woods - I think he's a douche and that bogus smile he has glued to his face 24/7 just annoys the fuck out of me. The only person that's more of a pussy than him is Jared from Subway.

2. Dale Earnnhardt, just because I'm so sick of hearing about him. I never even heard of him until he died, and ever since then all I see are 8s and Dale stickers/signs all over every redneck's front yard and on their old beaten down 1981 Ford pickup with the back filled with empty Natural Light and Milwaukee's Best cans that pulls out in front of me on the highway and proceeds to go 25 mph down the road, only turning off about 1/4 mile before I reach my destination 6 hours later when it was only a 20 mile trip to begin with.

He's like Elvis for rednecks, and I'm sure in about 10 years people will be reporting Dale sightings, while casinos in redneck towns will have Dale impersonators running around all over the place eating peanut butter and Penzoil sandwiches.

Then almost even worse are the people that were never Dale/NASCAR fans until he died, and now all of a sudden Dale was their best friend and they cry while they talk about how they can't believe he's gone and have more stickers on their Volkswagen Beetle jacked up on huge mud tires than the real redneck fans have on their pickup trucks.

Jeff Gordon's a big vagina too.

So is Michael Jordan.

Larry Bird rules.

I don't, but since so many people do, they're classified as such. In a few years Street Fighter and Counter Strike players will probably be considered athletes too.

Hockey is one of the best sports around. It requires strength, agility, endurance, and precision.

I am pissed off at them because the greedy assholes shut down professional hockey for an entire year. Since Lord Stanley introduced the cup, this is the first year a season of professional hockey hasn't been played.

Job security? Considering the huge number of teacher's being laid off left and right in this state it must be different elsewhere.

My wife got her pink slip the day after spring break so I'm going to call shenaniggins on that job security.

DeV
06-13-2005, 05:06 PM
Same in Illinois.

Being given the pink slip at the end of the year is fairly common. It sucks how they hand them out at the end of the year to most of the younger teachers who are trying to get a leg in the door and keep it there, but they find themselves having to start over at a new school.

If they even stick with the profession after that bullshit occurs.

Don't you also live out by Sussex Co NJ? Where if you have all your teeth you are considered to be a scholar?

Personally I think TO is the the biggest bitch in sports. I hope the Eagles pay him that money to sit on the bench and degrade his skills because face it .. hes not getting younger. I wouldn't give in to him in trade him or restructure his contract.

Patrick Ewing is a douche bag if you ever meet him.

Susex county really is just SO strange. It's like our own little Arkansas just a half hour away. Pickup trucks, gun racks and country music abounds.

TO is....just a horrible example for any child anywhere to emulate and should be terminated.

Patrick Ewing used to go to a bank branch I worked at at least once or twice a week and although not overly exhuberent and oozing personalityby any means, he always seemed polite enough to me signing autographs for the occasional person who asked with no sign of irritation or complaint.

He sucked as a go to man for the Knicks, but thats a different story :)

A good hockey player is an exemplary athlete, but most are not and the union should be shot for allowing their greed to blind them to both the owners seriousness and the fact that they are not a league on par with Baseball Football or Basketball and wanting salaries similar to theirs is just insane.

I guess it's different in NJ (or maybe just my area), atleast it is for the couple friends I have as teachers, as well as my aunt and cousin. And one of my buddies is a lazy piece of shit that bounces from job to job (never fired, just quits or tells them he won't be back for the summer/fall/spring), and he seems to find a job when it suits him.
