I know this will get a lot of attention. :D

Anyway, is using a whip even worth it or is it akin to swinging a wet noodle around?

I was thinking about using one mostly as an rp tool but if there are some decent ones existing maybe I'll actually train to swing one.

There exists ONE decent whip as a weapon: the two-handed maul based whip that Manny owns. Good luck getting it from him/her.

1. You owe me $1.06.
2. A whip is worse than a short sword in all instances.

I hear you get a bonus if using a whip in either of these rooms:

[Trading Post, Leather Room]
Stretched skins hang from the walls as decoration in this musty room. Leather bindings adorn most of the furniture, and leather thongs have been used in lieu of nails to hold the furniture together. A badly damaged, leather-bound oak trunk sits at the foot of the bed. You also see an ash door.

[Trading Post, Rope Room]
The furniture in this room is tied together with rope instead of nails, and thin ropes are wound around the wood of the furniture. On the walls, ropes with a wide variety of knots in them are hung for display. Many different sizes of baskets and other decorations all made of rope are placed on the tables in this room. You also see a pine door.

If pictures are in fact posted of said whip-dom: Worth it.

Otherwise, WTF R U THINKING!? It's worse than a crowbill OHB-wise.

There are a few older ones based off mattocks as well, but like Stray said, they will be hard to get your hands on.

k, damn though.

What about the ones sold on the WD that had fire flares? Still a no?

and it's a $1.08

A whip with flares is better than, say, a tiger-claw with flares. Is that the answer you were looking for?

<<and it's a $1.08>>

It's definitely a dollar, a nickel, and a penny.

(19:31:49) Rachel Pwnz: Oh, Photoshop serial key.txt isn't good enough?
(19:31:55) Rachel Pwnz: :)
(19:32:02) Jesae: oh shit, didn't even see that...hold on
(19:33:07) Jesae: nm, I'm dumb
(19:33:33) Jesae: I'm going to mail you a dollar, a nickle, and a penny...cause it cost 1.06 I see.

Seriously, I wouldn't consider the whip a worthwhile weapon base for anything but style points unless you have one of those two handed ones. I know of only one person to do it well, and she's very obsessed. There's much better weapons in the blunt base for all purpouses.

I'm sure jihna will support you in your quest to use a whip, she may even try to teach you a thing or two.

Seriously, though, whips suck..

I suppose if you got flaring whips and went TWC, you might have some interesting results.. but I wouldn't waste my time with it, unless you wanted to use them for RP purposes, then go for it.

Hehe, dual-weilding whip user. That would be the shit. Not really viable for a cleric though I would think.

BUT, it would be a great rp tool if she stuck to raising, have her weild two whips since she worships Ivas and Ivas has tentacles for arms.

A kraken tentacle whip would be a badass alter.

What about a whip-blade?
They're cool looking. Plus my ranger murdered hags with them.

My Empath used to hunt with whips back like... in the 90's sometime. They were 'all right' but you'll do much better with a morning star if you're going the route of blunt weapons.

You can't duel-wield whips.
