Selah softly says, "People who didn't train correctly to ambush were getting by with their mis-training, until now... people who already trained properly in the ways of ambushing will not have any problems... free fixskills."

You quietly whisper to Selah, "Keep fixskills to whispers and such please."

Selah whispers, "Simply explaining in simple terms the universal announcement we all saw."

You quietly whisper to Selah, "Fixskills still isn't a term to speak openly of."

Selah whispers, "Yet we all saw the word fixskills in the announcement."

You quietly whisper to Selah, "But only you decided to speak about it. That's a mechanics issue not something to speak of.

Selah whispers, "The accuse me and shut the hell up, jerk."

You quietly whisper to Selah, "Notice I'm whispering it to you, far from being a jerk about it."

Selah whispers, "Then accuse me and leave me alone."

You quietly whisper to Selah, "I don't think being a moron is a crime so I won't accuse you."

>roleplay nominate Selah Selah softly says, "People who didn't train correctly to ambush were getting by with their mis-training, until now... people who already trained properly in the ways of ambushing will not have any problems... free fixskills."

Stupid bitch. Discuss.

Hahahhahaha.

What a fucking idiot. I had a run in with her too at one point, but I'll be damned if I remember why.

Uh...what was this announcement on fixskills about?

OreoElf

Yes almost as bad as that girl talking about getting a DNA test on the dais the other night to prove a guy was the father of their "love child". :bleh:

I'm supprised. Selah is usually a good, responsible RPer.
It's a shame.
Plus it was hardly the worst show of OOC I've ever seen.
Bit harsh , maybe.

Someone tell me again how come the RP in Illistim is so great?

A bit harsh? If she was "a good responsible RPer" then she sure as hell should have known the difference between what her character should and shouldn't say. Fixskills is most certainly something she should NOT have said out loud. Instead of whispering back to Anticor "Oh shit, you are right.. that wasn't supposed to come out of my mouth" she further solidified her position as someone who can't roleplay by giving the excuse that it was a worldwide announcement, so it must be ok.

I think Anticor was far more diplomatic than I would have been. My whisper would have been more like "Hey dipshit.. you do realize that fixskills is an OOC term and you should STFU.. right?"

This was amusing:

You quietly whisper to Selah, "I don't think being a moron is a crime so I won't accuse you."

The roleplay nominate was fucking hilarious

Probably because someone else had a run-in with her and you decided that you needed to get in on the act

Selah's generally pretty good with her RP. I wouldn't be surprised if she was having a bad night or just getting bombarded with questions over the change.

Yeah it wouldn't surprise me either, I've known Selah and her other character's for years literally since I started the game. I wouldn't be surprised at all if she was just getting bombarded with questions and just said it out loud.

Now granted it was OOC I will agree however I do think you were a bit harsh. Selah's great usually and very helpful to those who ask questions.

I actually have to apologize for my previous statement about Selah, I checked my logs, and didn't see anything in there. The log could just be missing, cause I have a few month gaps in there, but since I don't remember what she did, it's quite possible, she didn't do anything.

But she was still highlighted as "Avoid".

How was I being harsh? I whispered as opposed to being 'OMG U FUCK ASS STFU WITH TEH FIXSKILLS!!!1"

I was nice until she said, and I quote "Selah whispers, "The accuse me and shut the hell up, jerk."

After that I could have got alot nastier but I decided not too. Harsh from me generally hurts feelings. Not only that but she's all accuse me, not once but twice. WTG winner. Accuse Selah OOC The constable looks at you and says "OOC is teh k3wl leave the l33tness of Selah alone."

Not my style, but I did like my rp nominate.

And to be honest this:

Selah softly says, "People who didn't train correctly to ambush were getting by with their mis-training, until now... people who already trained properly in the ways of ambushing will not have any problems... free fixskills

was fine until she had to add ...free fixskills.

Yeah I didn't have a problem with that line until the ending.

I didn't think Anticor was harsh at all. He kept it in whispers and wasn't rude about it. If she were really a roleplayer, she would have taken it as constructive criticism, thanked him and gone on her way. Instead she chose to insult him because she must feel she's above reproach, and I don't have much sympathy for people like that. People make mistakes, own up to it.

I did a really stupid oocish statement the other night, and got my ass handed to me immediately in IMs (which was very deserved).

A bunch of us rogues were talking about the fixskills last night in RR Commons, but we kept it in guild speak. That's about the most I'll do ooc in the open, unless I'm at a table with friends.

And if I did slip up and say something weird for everyone to hear, I'd apologize and move on. Especially apologize if someone whispered to me about it. She should have apologized and moved on, or took a group in a more secluded place to talk about it.

Guild speak is far from private. I'd still ask you to whisper or take it to a table.

RR is so small that all of us rogues know each other, and we all talked about it or let it be talked about in guild speak. Had one complained, we wouldn't have continued.

It all depends on if someone complains or not

But the purpose of this thread was someone did complain, and she didn't care.

The fact that she's such an awesome roleplayer usually - and I'll just take the defenders' words for it - does not excuse her actions. In fact, to me, it makes it all the worse because you say she knows better but did it anyway. And then acted like a bitch about it when she was caught out, even when Anticor was being polite. That did not look like a good roleplayer to me.

Asha

Fine fine, she's a total shitface for saying ''fixskills'' and we should accept we lost another moderately good RPer.
I don't really care.

Who's next?

Nice comeback there. That's like talking about your AS and when confronted saying: But everyone sees it when you swing at a critter so I can talk about it!

What a moron.

I don't think you lost her. I just think she was a complete asshammer in this situation. I've never talked to her before this so I can't say but based on this run-in I'm far from impressed.

Does that mean what everyone says about her past actions is false? No.

Was she having a "Bad day" or being subject to a ton of questions? I don't know.

Did she handle the situation poorly? You bet your ass she did.

Still.
Someone who's RPing skills I totally enjoyed and admired made a mistake.
It was important to add she isn't usually like that. It's sad to see it happen to be honest.

The mistake of ..free fixskills I can understand.

The following whispers by her I don't see as a mistake. Those I see as an attitude of "Look at me I'm on my high horse and you can't do shit about it."

I'm just glad I took the high ground and didn't put her teeth through her ass.

Well she seems to have some RP skills at least a decent amount of the time or she would not have people coming to her defense here, but that only means that those that are friends with her should take her aside and ask whats the deal with the ooc.

A good friend tells their friends when they are screwing up.

A mediocre one will let those things pass as it's awkward telling those we like that they are messing up.

Asha

I'm about as much a friend to her as Anticor is.
He seemed to have sorted it pretty well.

I've never spoken to her OOC , whispered or even RPed WITH her. Only watched.

I don't think Anticor was harsh, but she was defensive about it. If she was explaining the change to people, it would've been wise to whisper it in a group. The announcement was not announced to the "Character" but to the "Player", therefore it has nothing to do with roleplay, the same for fixskills. It's just common sense. Gamehost and Gamemasters aren't gods, fixskills and profiles, stat info are all mechanics that should not be discussed openly.

I would kill my friend for OOC behavior. I'm not very supportive. :D
