Because there is always somebody on these boards who can answer any question, no matter how obscure, I ask the following:
I'm fostering two shelter kittens, and being only four weeks old they aren't quite sure of the whole litter pan concept. In other words, they are rather filthy little beasts. For this reason (plus that they're really cute as all hell), I thought perfect names for them would be Kai and Uri, AKA the Dirty Pair, or the Lovely Angels. Collective name to vary depending upon the state of their room.
Uri is pretty easy, but I'm not sure about the correct pronunciation for Kai. Does it rhyme with 'day' or with 'tie'?
Thanks, the help is appreciated! Don't want to make a kitten faux pas.

I've always thought of Kai as being pronounced as "tie" with a K.

Alternatively, high with a k, or sai with a k.
Either way, that's how it is pronounced.

If anything, Uri would be the unsure one for me.
It could be your-ee or oo-ree.

Oh, man, I never even thought of oo-ree! I always thought your-ee was the only way to say it.

Edited to add: Well, Fluffy and Mittens are nice names...

When you say, "Dirty Little Beast", I think of the movie "Red Dragon".
Kai rhymes with "tie"...

My little bro asked me about my character in WoW. He said "Do you ever play "Wehzas" (Weh similar to the word "When").
I never even thought that people might pronounce it differently then I do (Wee-zuhs).

Heh, that's how I always pronounce it when I read the name. Kinda like Wheezy from the Jeffersons.

And here I always thought it was just plain as day Wez-ass. Czeska was pretty straight forward however. Deemoo!! Ha! Returning shortly to a city near you.

I thought it was funny that Wee-sus rhymed with Jesus and wondered how you pulled that one off.

I think I'm going to go with Kai (rhymes with tie) and Uri (your-ee).
Thank you everybody, for all the help!
Edited because I tried to attach a picture of them and was told it was too big. I couldn't figure out the South Park thing either.
