Curiousity leads me to ask:

Have you ever run away from home? If so what prompted you to take such a drastic step?

I did when I was 14, I hid in the alley around the corner from my house with the girl next door. Our mums came looking for us and we were worried we would get in trouble so came out. It was all because my mum had told me I had to wear a knee length skirt to school, before I mastered the art of rolling the skirt up. ;)

I wanted to run away all through childhood, not out of any unhappiness. I just wanted to have an adventure. I never left because I wouldn't leave my dog and he was too old to be living the life of a traveler, hopping on train cars, hitchhiking from town to town, sleeping in fields by a roaring campfire at night. (I had a well developed sense of the dramatic as a child.)
