My friend had a link to this in his profile, I thought it was pretty funny...

Where would you guys be? I'm in a few places, like "anime fans who insist on subtitles," "Live-Action Roleplaying Gamers," "Video Gamers," and "Roleplaying Gamers," to name a few. :)

I see part of myself in nearly EVERYONE one of those categories. I guess I am a pretty big geek :(

Be proud! I know I am. :P

:) Yay. Though it hampers the ability to impress the ladies :(

You obviously haven't found the right group of ladies yet.

Yeah, I need to go to Simucon ;)

Well, I didn't say that...
Where is it every year though? Is there ever something that takes place by NYC? 'Cause I'm located around there and would like to go to one of these events sometime, just to meet people.

I am trying to get a job at a summer camp over there, hopefully scoring enough free time to go to one of the meetings etc. I hope...

Over here, where in particular?

StrayRogue

Not sure yet. Where-ever they send me I'd say, though I can ask to be placed in certain places. Any good ideas of where some good summer camps are?

Well.... I grew up (am growing up?) in the New York/Connecticut/Massachusetts area, and went to few decent summer camps around here. Most of the were YMCA sponsored though, so as a counselor you get paid next to nothing...

Yeah, I get very little pay, but the flight and accomodation is paid for me. I'm going 1, for the experience, 2, coz I love kids (5-9 is the best age ever), and 3, to undermine your government.

Hell, if you're coming here for THAT, I'll pay for your ticket.

Anyway, the camps I went to had kids from 6 or so up through around 16. They keep everyone separate usually, though. Different activities, places to sleep, mealtimes, etc. depending on age group.

You know, I'm pretty offended by that. What, do you think all the women that attend Simucon are easy or something?

Course not. But they are no less geeky than I ;)

Wow, I'm in like... the first couple of lines all over the place. Literature fan, comic fan, anime fan who cares about subtitles, video gamer, role-play gamer, amateur scifi/fantasy artist/writer. Good thing I already knew I was a geek. In fact, I bet I am geekier than you ALL!! Muah.

To prove it, I actually know my own Geek Code. Haven't heard of Geek Code? You've missed out on internet history! Go to geekcode.com and get yours and print it on your t-shirt.

---- Geek Code for DCSL ----

I don't think that's true, heh. My boyfriend fits in several of those categories.

That makes feel better about the fact he could whip my ass ;) Thanks Dex. One day I shall duel him for your affections, and promptly get my ass handed to me. Rawr.
