View Full Version : what is your joy?

My joy is looking up from my laptop just in time to see my son (2.5 yrs old) launch a leftover mini-chocolate donut across the den with a plastic golf club (6 iron equiv).

He reminds me of how fun it was to be a child.

Hearing my son snort laugh. Having children has made me realize all of the little things that I take for granted and miss.

Heh, I used to love building my own bases and fortresses as a child out of cardboard, cushions and pillows and quilts. Great days.

Right now, my joy is feeling my son kick the crap outta my insides. In four days, if the little bugger is on time... it will just simply be him.

What is your joy != what you wish you could have.

If that were the case my joy would be an Aston Martin V12 Vanquish.

My wife is my joy...I could look at her forever. As a matter of fact, its a joy just to look at my wife.

I have too many to count. A lot of things make me smile and/or happy for a short time. I am easily amused. :D

Fucking right. I'm not even a car guy and I'd have sex with one of those things.

Awwww now that is sweet. She wasn't standing behind you when you wrote that was she? hehe just kidding.

My greatest joy is when my 2 yr old princess tells me she loves me and that she is happy.

When my daughter decides it's time to snuggle.

When I'm leaving for work and she cries and calls me back for a hug three times before I actually make it to the car.

When she learns something new, and does it 1,000,00 times until I'm about ready to scream, and then look back on it a few months later and just can't stop smiling.

When the man I love gazes at me like I'm the only woman left in the world, and the most beautiful one he's ever seen.

Picking on rice burners gives me joy.

May I have your attention please...
May I have your Attention please...
Will the real rice burners start their engines up...
I repeat, will the real rice burners start their engines up...
We're gonna have a problem here...
Ya'll act like you never seen a rice-burner before
Jaws all on the floor, VVTL-i just walked on a Honda Accord
It keeps blowin right passed even worse than before
Am I earnin em, 20's I can't burn em, AHH!
it's the return of the....
Aww wait, no way, your winning...He didn't think a DX could beat a Celica Did he?
And Larry D said.....nothing you idiot cuz Larry flew passed
Your Si stalled under the overpass
Winningest celi's love spinnin em
Stupi..Stupi..Stupid Si's I'm sick of them
Look at em
Driving around badging there you know what
Losing to you know who
***Girl*** Yeah but there so cute though***Girl***
Yeah they prolly gotta couple of screws
up in they NOS loose
But nothing worse than whats under the hood in a stock Yugo
Sometime's I wanna race a viper and just let loose
but can't, but it's cool for Accord's to sticker up "Got Juice?"
My V-TEC is the shit, My V-TEC is the shit
And if I'm lucky your VVTL-i might not kick in
And that's the message that they deliver to little kids
And expect em not to know what G-Force really is
Of course they gonna know what G-Force is before they hit 4th grade
They got SpeedVision don't they?
We ain't nothing but vandal's....
well, some of us cannibal's who eat Honda owner's like we're Hannibal
But if it's cool to cut your springs and get stickered out
I see no reason why all Honda owners shouldn't be singled out
But if you feel like I feel, then we should scream & shout
Get a new Celi so you know what Imports all about!

Chorus: Repeat 2x Well I'ma rice burner, AKA Civic DX owner
And all you real racer's please stay in your corner
Will the real rice burner's please start up,

Mine does this, too. It can be infuriating if you're late, but then you realize you're grinning and could give a shit about anything else but those tiny arms around you. My daughter's the biggest joy-bringer I've ever had or imagined.

Also, ice cream from Cold Stone Creamery.

OMG I love Coldstone. Best part is tipping and having them all burst into song.

For little arms around my neck I have my Buffy. Very cute and warm and fuzzy, but she always manages to gift me with a mouthful of cat hair, which is not nearly as tasty as any treat from Coldstone's.
