In all fairness, I thought he looked to be in good shape for a 45 year old man. I agree with the criticism and thought his performance was underwhelming. What appeared more odd to me was him roller skating around the platform.

I watched the entire game, I don't remember seeing that commercial.

It wasn’t a commercial. Instead of having a pregame president interview (the historic precedent, but Biden declined as he is no longer mentally fit to be interviewed), he just posted a video about shrinkflation on X / Twitter.
