Ardwen comes away with the win after the game that we probably all just went to bed for. Beldannon again makes the curious decision to not submit a full slate of games.

I did make another mistake with my formatting which led to 1 additional win for Ardwen and SP. I dont think it actually affected anything, with Ardwen having the Bears and both Chenraf and SP having the vikings it wouldnt have made sense for either of them to switch their picks to catch him. Luckily it didnt matter.

All right: Cowboys, Dolphins
All wrong: Lions

Lone Wolf: Ardwen took the Bears for the win
Chose poorly: SP took the Seahawks and Bills, Ardwen took the Panthers. I took the Browns. PB took the Chargers.

LOLDALLAS!

Oh, sorry.. didn't see your "without any further commentary..."

The Bucs are now going to hit their easy part of the schedule... Panthers twice, Packers, Saints and Falcons. They have one game against the Jags.

They SHOULD go 9-8... if they hit their stride maybe even 10-7 and get into the playoffs.

Someone has to win the NFC South, right? Why not the Bucs. I wouldnt mind seeing Baker succeed somewhere.

I can’t comment about Jerry Jones bribing the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for a favorable schedule, but for all the “Cowboys can’t beat a winning team!” critics I say they really haven’t had many opportunities. They got their ass spanked hard by the 49ers early on, and the Eagles game was a nail biter that didn’t go their way.

If the Cowboys beat the Seahawks this week, and preferably destroy them on the scoreboard like they have so many other teams this season, I hope that will be enough for y’all to once again fall in love with Murica’s team.

Seahawks are 6-5... barely above .500.

They have wins against:
Lions
Panthers
Giants
Cardinals
Browns
Commanders

That looks like the Cowboys schedule of "wins"... it's not impressive. At all.

They are on a 2 game losing streak.
They are underwater in scoring (229PF and 249PA)
They haven't destroyed a single team this year except the Giants... not sure what Seahawk team you've been watching.
They got spanked by the 49ers, Ravens and the Rams this year.

Cowboys should beat this team easily.. since their record of 6-5 is inflated by their weak schedule (They share the same sissy quadrant as the Cowboys).

They will end the year below .500 since they have the Cowboys, 49ers, Eagles and Steelers left to play.

The Cowboys are a 9 point favorite going into this game.. and you want to make it sound like they are facing the 49ers again.

They aren't.

No doubt the Seahawks are not the 49ers, but technically a winning team right now. Again I say the Cowboys just haven’t played many winning teams this year. I’d also argue that the 49ers are not the same kind of winning team they were at the beginning of the season.

I’m not going to beg for respect like Solkern or anything. I’m just trying to get y’all to see the light. Cheering and celebrating the Cowboys = cheering & celebrating America. Don’t you guys love our country?

They were without Deebo Samuel during that middle stretch where they lost 3 games... but their last 3 games, they have outscored their opponents 92-30 and that includes the amazing Seattle Seahawks 31-13... :smug:

Its not that we dislike the Cowboys, ok I kind of do but in a rival kind of way, its that the only people who think its America's team are Cowboy fans. The shtick may have worked when they were actually good but like America they've been on a steady decline since the 90's.... maybe they really are America's team...

That said I think the Cowboys are clearly in the conversation for best in the NFC. Id say 3rd for obvious reasons, and I think the drop off between 3 and 4 is pretty steep. Like I said a few weeks ago we will probably split our season series. At the end of the day we will need to see the Cowboys actually play well into the colder weather which they havent done in years past, and Dak really doesn't have a good record against top teams.

They are a microcosm of America. It’s worth noting though they declined from being a dominant dynasty in the 90s to mediocrity. With the exception of a couple years in the late 90s / early 2000s they still have remained competitive in the NFL but a mere shadow of the greatness they once were.

I agree with just about everything you said in the second paragraph. On paper and stats this year they are a great team, but to be taken seriously they need to prove it in the games that matter & break free from the curse that has plagued the team for decades. Only then can the Cowboys finally censure Stephen A. Smith.

I used to hate the Giants, but honestly they haven’t been a threat in a long time. They’re like babies playing football. I can’t hate a baby. Except for Eli. He was a little bitch baby.

You try playing without your starting center who disappered the day before the superbowl. Honestly though the reason the raiders lost is because Al traded Jon Gruden to TB after he went insane after the tuck rule game. (also the fact the raiders coaches didn't change their playbook, so TB knew their plays) The raiders were the better team that year, just the super bowl went against them. Yes I am still living in the past since they have sucked since then :(

Jordan Love, I think he’s legit, and he’s shown it over the season(yeah he’s has growing pains) and he’s just getting better and better. I also think the chiefs are overrated this year, they seem really suspect with their poor receiving group.

Cardinals and rams…. I think the Steelers have played FAR above their actual skill level, and shouldn’t have won a lot of games they played, cardinals have been better since Kyler came back. Rams still have Stafford, and the browns were starting Flacco and Garret was injured, easy pick imo.

From the week 2 thread:

No problem, I enjoy this. I’ll try to get week 3 up soon but on a laptop with no mouse and hate life. Worst case back to my pc this evening.

We should probably clarify and I’ll leave it up to the masses to decide(preferably by the start of next Monday’s game) on if we want to do closest without going over or just closest number.

I vote just closest number of total points scored.

With the qualifier of lower score will win when needed?

Yes, that sounds good to me.

So if Player A submits 49, Player B submits 51, and the combined total score = 50…Player A would win in that example assuming no other player guessed 50. Correct?

That’s how I’m looking at it, yes.
