The things that just make your week.

Mine happened yesterday. I applied for a scholarship through my major way back in March. About 3 weeks ago (the last Saturday of April), some of my friends got letters in the mail letting them know that they were selected for XXX scholarship.

I didn't get one, even though I thought that I should have at least had a shot at it (granted I'm already getting a pretty good deal as far as college tuition goes...). Anyway, it completely slipped my mind till yesterday until my sister calls me to tell me that a letter came to her house addressed to me.

Weird. I asked her to open it and read it out loud. 20 seconds later, the check I'm going to get from my university goes up by $3,000.

Nice one dude. I had a similar experience a week ago. Was busy as hell, tired and feeling like shit. Get home on friday and check my email only to discover I've been invited to an interview at the BBC next week. The pwn.

Heh. I did find a whole bunch of English money in the pocket of a coat once. I was cleaning out my closets and getting rid of things I never wore anymore. Thankfully, I checked the pockets. :D

I get the hook-up every Wednesday at Don Pablo's. We made friendly with a waiter, J.R. about a year ago. Now he's an assistant manager and we ask to sit in his section every time we're there.

Free Drinks ($2 per person) , Free Dip Samplers ($3.00 each), and he always brings us out extra chicken for fajitas or extra sides.

He even gave me a dozen "Complimentary Dip Sampler" cards to use when he was on vacation. :thumbsup:

The same shit happened to me yesterday. I got an e-mail from my (future) school a few days ago saying they had posted my financial aid awards and it said I didn't have shit. So I get back from visiting the school yesterday and I check my e-mail and they're all we changed your info check it again. I do and I find out they're giving me an 18k a year grant for 2 years.
