View Full Version : movie question?
for the life of me I can't think of this movie I once saw..... lemme try to describe it
i'm pretty sure it was released after 1999....
i remember their being swords, and a medievial like atmosphere (it may even had a midievial name.) i think monsters kept attacking this little fort/village. i THINK they were monsters... i can't really remember.
does this ring a bell to anyone? it had one famous guy in it, but i can't remember his name either?!?!?!?!
it was a REALLY terrible movie, but id really like to know what the hell it was called
if anyone can help me out, let me know!

It sounds a bit like Reign of Fire. Set in modern times, dragons sleeping underground all woke up and devestated the planet, sending lifestyles crashing back to pre-tech times. A bunch of people survived in the countryside north of London in a big fort-like structure. Then a group of really stupid/suicidal American dragon hunters showed up and the leader of the survivors joined their leader and the obligatory babe to kill the sole male dragon and save the planet.
Anyway, that's the movie that came to mind when I read your post, don't know if that's it or not.

Swords
Medieval-esque
One famous guy
That sounded like 13th Warrior to me too but I thought it was actually one of Banderas's better films.
I'd post the IMDB link but it looks like the site is shot right now.

yeah, I didn't mind the movie, really didn't think it was exceptionally horrible. The part where he learns to speak english in a night was extremely cheesy, though.

It reminds me of Beowulf (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120604/)

Normally I'd say, "The book was better", but in this case I liked the movie just about as much as the I did the book (the book gives a more in depth look at customs and stuff). The book was written by Michael Crichton and was titled 'Eaters of the Dead' if anyone cares.

<<It reminds me of Beowulf>>
Are you retarded? It was blatantly written to mimic Beowulf.

Watch Army of Darkness instead. It reminds me of Army of Darkness.
