I think people are underestimating the number of people that will activate basic accounts to enter into shop lotteries. Hopefully they will put an eligibility back date only for accounts that were active prior to the lottery announcement.

I'm pretty much expecting things to go the same as last time there was a shop lottery, since there's little reason for them not to. No matter how they run them, there's going to be enough shops hitting the secondary market after the lotteries to push prices down significantly. Since we now know this isn't going to be a yearly thing, they might not hit the same lows they did last time (I paid 20m for mine right after the last lotto).... but it'll still be a good while before folk are willing to pay 80m-100m again.

There's enough shops for everyone who wants one it just won't be in the landing. If you want a guaranteed shop from the lottery, get citizenship in the Nations, the racial requirements meant during the last lottery only a few people were eligible for the deed which left the majority of the shops completely vacant. Zul Logoth and Teras were also left with a lot of empty rooms but that had more to do with their location as this was before the shop directory command.

If you want a ballpark how low shops went in the Landing, I paid 60m for one a few months after the lottery. Also some people who won landing shops didn't bother to claim them and they were left empty.

I ideally this time they need to hold a live raffle for the remaining shops that lottery winners don't claim and for the empty shops in the nations until every single room is occupied.
