Open rolls insta killing you with no way to defend yourself is bad enough, but now even low roll results of 16 with a message saying I clearly evaded the attack ends up one shotting me?

Not sure, but it needs further research. Go cast some meteor storms on yourself. Maybe you evaded the projectile landing and doing crush damage, but there was a second attack of flame damage?

I haven’t played in some time now, but that seems like a reportable bug to me. You evaded it.

If they tell you some BS like you evaded the roaring ball of fire but were caught in the subsequent explosion when it crashed into the ground, tell those lazy bastards they need to do a better job of writing that. You shouldn’t be left guessing what happened for lack of context.
