Well, the weather gurus have made their prediction and here it is...

http://www.cnn.com/2005/WEATHER/05/16/hurricane.outlook/index.html

"The forecast is slightly higher than 2004's, which predicted six to eight hurricanes, two to four of which would be at least Category 3, which has winds of 111 mph to 130 mph."

"The 2004 season spawned 12 hurricanes, including four that hit Florida directly and one indirectly, leaving scores of deaths in their paths. It is believed the four storms caused more than $40 billion in damage."

"The 2004 season will be remembered for its four hurricanes that hit Florida within just six weeks: Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne. Scores of deaths in the United States were blamed on the storms and after Jeanne slammed into Haiti, more than a thousand deaths were reported there."

Better batten down the hatches!

Yay, Thanks for the great news, I live on the intracoastal In Florida, and I can tell you that hurricane shutters fucking blow goats! Every year they evacuate us, but I cant go because of my two dogs. Can you believe they dont allow pets in evacuation centers. There is no way Im leaving my dogs in there alone! So I say , bring it on Hurricane season!

Anything 11 miles out or further big enough to gaff into the boat is a keeper. I'd like to take a month off and just sweep the coast from Texas all the way down to the keys on a huge fishing binge... then take another month and do the same down the Mexico coast line.

Of course that would require a bigger boat than the 28 footer we have now, wonder how I can justify that expense.

Any help for Xyelin? Anyway, I have a 38ft Donzi ZF Open King Fish. I take it to the Keys at least every month. Dont laugh but me and my brother got drunk one time and drove it to the Bahamas. I have 3 engines, But I didnt think it would take 4 hours!! We ended up spending the night there. Gas is expensive as all hell there too! Id die if I couldnt fish!

Um..yay? /sarcasm. Just so happens I'm moving to Jacksonville to live with Stunseed's player June 5th. And yeah, now I go from tornado alley to Hurricane alley. Go me? Heh, looks like I have a lot to look forward to in good ol' Florida. :smirk:

Life partners. No need to apologize, it wouldn't be the first person to ask! :)

As to Jacksonville being hick, eh..I don't agree but I live in Oklahoma now so what do I know eh? I've visited Jacksonville several times over the last 2+ years James and I have been together and I didn't find it to be that way at all.

Ill take anyone who was willing to come down here, just throw down for gas and bait. I have enough poles for 4 heads. Hell we dont even need to fish. Riding the intracoastal is fun too. Though I dont have 3 engines and 850hp to troll. I love speed. Anyone know how to wakeboard?

Last time I was in Atlanta there was a big one coming through - and did - two days after I left. This was the one time in my life I will/have ever claimed to live in such a state as Florida. But I did. And I got to keep my room reservation. Go me. :)
