[Wehnimer's Sewer, Nexus]
Dim light filters down from the rusty grate imbedded in the ceiling. The walls are cracked and broken, while the floor is covered with a thin layer of mud, or worse. The air is damp and musty, while gently drifting in from the surrounding tunnels are some of the most appalling odors it has ever been your misfortune to experience. Tunnels slope slightly downward in all directions.

Thats not really anally raped, if he got pulled he most likely will come back to a request to read the terms and get a slap on the wrist with a note on his account to keep an eye out for him scripting in the future.

If his group was open you should have asked a rogue to sweep him then take him on a little drag tour out the gate and blast his teeth through his colon.

Tayre,

Everyone knows there's only so many rats in the catacombs.
You can't expect him to just sit back and let the scripter get all
of them, right?
I mean heck, it's practically wasting the experience!
Contrary to popular belief, rats do not re-gen.
Once you kill them all, they're gone.

Gan

Historically GM's have let those who discover/witness an afk scripter do pretty much anything they want by not holding them to PvP/CvC guidelines and punishment. This is evidenced when action is taken by the discoverer then the report is made.

So in effect, they have through precedence, made it ok to do almost anything you wish to do should you discover one without the fear of punishment. It only gets sticky if the scripter happens to be nearby and is able to intervene prior to being pulled into scripting limbo.

This helps the GM's police the lands for AFK scripters. In essence, we're all AFK scripting deputies.

Actually I disagree that they allow it to the extent you have stated. I have been pulled for taking my own action before.

I've yet to be pulled for taking action against an AFK scripter. And I've done everything but curse them for weapon drop... which is about the only thing I'd see them pitching a fit over.

You must be of the higher maintenance variety or they've just got your number.

While I agree it's not my place as a player to do anything but report them I have taken action. Nothing has been said to me about me taking action but that's probably because the AFK scripter really can't say much in his or her defense.

Should you take action and you get a warning the warning is justified you are not the game police. If you just report and do nothing else then you are 100% worry free. Any action on your part could be taken into consideration so if you're worried about it just report.

That being said I am still a firm believer of policing our own and I do so knowing full well that should I get talked to it's no one's fault but my own and I am more than willing to nut up and take responsibilty for my action(s).

I know it's weird I have a spine sue me.

You must be of the higher maintenance variety or they've just got your number.

Not of the higher maintenance variety and they don't have my number for sure. I think what happened is that a GM was behind the scenes checking on the douchebag when I saw what I did. I took responsibility for what I did but got no warning. Warning free for over 10 years woot.

Man, I've got to start hanging out as a sorc in temple wyneb to give afk scripters fleas and make my fortune. :D

People actually try to afk in wyneb??? That has to be one of the most watched/enforced scripting area. Least it used to be.

I dunno. I've been stuck in the tower for about a year and a half now. I don't get as much time to play, but yea, when I hunted wyneb, people afk'd there a lot. It was annoying.

Yeah Id watch for Noved in the future. I believe his other charecter is Sandlot. I could be wrong on that though. Anyway, Noved asked me a couple of days ago to assasinate someone?

Almost anything..!

I think they would/might draw the line on property loss. However, it would be interesting to see a sorcerer who's ticked off at an AFK scripter enough to curse him for his efforts of ignoring or not responding.

However, if it were connected that you were using curse for financial gain then I would expect that you'd get some GM attention as well, and very fast.

You're wrong. Sandlot is owned by the same person who is Gondolion ( unless sold in the last meh, 3 months? ).

Nevod is someone completely different altogether.

Script hunters need to do the opposite of being alive.

I have no clue what, if any action has been taken against the scripter officially. However, even if you're in the cell, you can still access PsiNet.

Speaking from experience: we just buff the hell out of whatever they are scripting. Most of the time rats. Then have someone quake / trip the scripter, and then give the rats spirit strike. We've gotten scolded for it but damn it's funny to see a rat kill someone.

What you should've done is knocked him down and dragged him to another town.

edit: Or, since his group was open, disrupted his script by, say, dragging him before he skinned and then run him to another town.
