View Full Version : My new car appreciation post
So I finally broke down and bought a newish car.... It's a 2004 Lexus IS300 Sport Design edition. Working at a dealership does pay off every once in a while I guess, because I got a really good deal on the car. Anyway, here it is!

Looks good! I always think American streets/houses look really nice too compared to most of ours.

I can't see it all, there's a black car in the way.
The white truck is what I've been driving for about 10 years now.... It's got more than a few problems, but now that I have alternate transportation, I can yank the engine out and see what I can build up for it. Since the Lexus is a certified pre-owned vehicle, I get a 5 year, 100,000 mile warranty and won't have to worry about spending my weekends fixing it.

Definitely, bud. Well done, glad to see you've done something well for yourself.
Speaking of which, can you get ME a deal on a car like that?
I happenned to get lucky with it, since I did the used car inspection, and noticed it had a replacement hood and windshield, it became a "Wrecked Car". As such the dealership was just gonna wholesale it. I stepped in, and said I wanted it. I did all the work to certify it, and got it for the cost the dealership paid, plus parts (Tires, factory hood, factory glass). Not sure I could swing anything like that for anyone else....
