Include the name of the character you are entering the contest with. There will be a maximum of 20 contestants, if more sign up they will go on a waiting list so if any of the 20 people don't show up then people from the waiting list will take their place.
I'm putting together a contest with prizes! The event will be held on Friday, February 17th at 9PM EST. You must arrive by 8:30PM EST or you will forfeit your spot in the contest. You also must pay the 1 million silver fee before the contest starts or you will forfeit your spot.
Rules, scoring, and maximum number of contestants may change before the event takes place.
The cost to enter is 1 million silvers, all silvers will go towards prizes. I am also putting up 50 million silvers myself and at the moment the maximum number of contestants is 20, we're looking at possibly 70 million silvers in prizes.
First place will win 50% of the total pot
Second place will win 25%
Third place will win 15%
Everyone else will receive an equal share of the remaining 10%
How the contest is played: The contest will take place in the Rats Nest in Icemule Trace. When the contest begins everyone will have 10 minutes to get as many points as possible, whoever has the most points wins.
Scoring:
Killing a rat: 5 points
Successfully skinning a rat: 1 point (you do not need to collect the skins, you just have to successfully skin the rat)
Successfully foraging for wolifrew lichen: 2 points (you do not need to collect the lichen, you just have to successfully forage it)
Successfully foraging for murdroot: 30 points (you do not need to collect the murdroot, you just have to successfully forage it)
PLEASE NOTE: I can only track kills from abilities that are resolved instantly. Example if you attack, use mstrike, use a spell such as 906, or an AOE such as 1030, those are all attacks that are instantly resolved. However spells such as open Implosion or abilities such as Volley where the attacks aren't resolved immediately after you use the ability can't be tracked properly so you might not get credit when using those abilities. Your official will inform you when you receive points so you can see which abilities give you points and which don't.
All typical GS hunting etiquette don't apply during the contest. You can kill and skin any rat you want, regardless of who is in the room or who killed the rat. You can also forage for any herb you want in any room you want.
You will be assigned an official who will keep track of your score.
Rules:
You can't do something to another contestant that would make them leave the Rats Nest.
You can't cause direct health loss or directly cause wounds to another contestant.
You can't use abilities that would affect multiple people.
You can't interfere with officials in any capacity, other than to add YOUR official to your group
You are responsible for ensuring your official is with you at all times. If you lose your official then find them immediately and add them to your group. If your official's group is closed whisper to them "open" and they should open their group.
You are allowed to leave the Rats Nest but do not leave Icemule.
If you must quit the contest early please be sure to DISBAND your group.
Each real person can only enter the contest with 1 character.
Please do not work as a group. Two or more contestants may recognize that another contestant is doing well and may sabotage their efforts, but all contestants should be working on their own to win. If it looks like two or more players are working as a team then all players involved will be disqualified.
If you are participating it is a good idea to add other contestants to your highlights so you know which characters you can use abilities on.
Spectators are allowed but please DO NOT do anything to affect the contest, this includes: no interacting with critters or their corpses, no foraging, no interfering with the officials, and no helping or hindering contestants.
