This is a portable stove. It requires the use of a fuel of some kind such as wooden logs with tinder as a starter. If you happen to know the Minor Fire spell, you can cast it to start the fuel, otherwise you will need matches or some similar source of fire.

No. It was sold as a torch from a merchant in a cave, I believe, in EG about 10 years ago.

Also, as a FYI, you can change the color of the flame and customize it. This one was off the shelf, but I have a customized one I'm keeping.

Cracking the lid on a dented stewpot with severely chipped fading white enamel just a touch, you softly waft the wonderful aroma coming from it toward your eager nose.
You lightly tap on the side of the a dented stewpot with severely chipped fading white enamel with a utensil. Have you no patience?
After tasting the contents of your white-enameled stewpot, you bring your fingers to your lips in a kissing gesture of perfection.
Flipping over your white-enameled stewpot, you bang on the bottom with a utensil trying to get every last bit out.
Setting aside the lid, you grab a nearby utensil and briskly stir the contents of a dented stewpot with severely chipped fading white enamel then quickly replace the lid.
