I posted an add for 2m BS. Cryogic responded and said that he had 1.05M BS available for $2900.00. I accepted and sent payment. He never showed to deliver. While I have gotten a refund through AMEX and reported him/her to PayPal. Everyone should steer clear.

Went dark on me August 8th. Borrowed a large sum in May. I wanted to have the benefit of the doubt here, that something went wrong or happened. But I am seeing repetitive behavior and we need to openly discuss this so that it doesn't continue. Eurial is a returning player who is putting money into our little community. That makes our game continue and flourish. I don't like anyone messing with that. I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

And for posterity's sake. It was 225m. No small amount. :) My GS silver amex card won't let me reverse the charge!

I had an issue with him back in August too, thankfully my bank was able to help out but I waited a couple of months to do anything because in his last message he said he was handling stuff for his mother's estate so I figured he was in the process of grieving/stressed and didn't want to be a dick about it. I regret that if I hadn't been so considerate this might have not been an issue for others.



There are supposedly 4 more people who he scammed, I would be extremely cautious when doing business with him in any capacity beyond a silver transaction.

Make sure he gives you the item first, and you verify the item before paying him silvers for it.

Ask for references when dealing with "newer" PC accounts as he will use multiple accounts so people don't know it's him.

I'm glad you asked, let me clue you in. The whole GS financial ecosystem is tiny and built on trust like the diamond traders in NYCs diamond district. Equivalent of handing over 10x DBs expecting the other person not to run off. Even a scammer poor that uses his GS proceeds to make rent has repercussions for everyone else. Just look at the threads where people are now super skittish because of one loser dipshit's actions.

At worst Zaoloo is a straight up scammer.

At best he's someone who fell on hard times and decided to run away with people's real life money or in game silvers (which he most likely sold for real life money) with no intentions of ever returning the things he stole, he did come back months later and decided to make it right to at least one person he screwed over.

This is for sure something everyone should be well made aware of. This is not something we as a community should be sweeping under the rug just because Zaoloo decided to finally repay people months after he ran off with their money, and so far we have only heard one person come forward to say Zaoloo finally made things right.

What finally got people to come forward and admit Zaoloo screwed them over was one person coming forward and showing that Zaoloo tried to steal 3k real dollars from them, and the only reason the person got their money back was because they had to go through their credit card company and PayPal, otherwise who knows if Zaoloo would have ever made that right.

Zaoloo is a scumbag and shouldn't be left off the hook so easily. The community was better when he stayed gone.

I counted at least 8 people back when the other thread happened, but the ones not listed in the topic post here didn't want to go public about it (which is kinda annoying, I think people should go public with these things). I heard recently some of them got their money back too now, so for what it's worth he's made it right for some people at least. Though TBH if you merchant you have to be proactive about these things, shit happens, but if I got banned or something happened IRL and I owed people, I'd be writing them personal emails the same day saying how and when I'll make things right, not just ignore the situation for half a year and then be like whatever.

Eh, I don't really think this is something the GMs should get involved in. The GMs say they don't approve of cash transactions probably because they don't want to get involved in shit like this, so it's probably better for them to just stay out of it altogether.

I also don't want the GMs to ban people or anything of that sort based on the playerbase forming a mob, that would set an extremely bad precedent and Zaoloo, as much of a piece of shit as he is, isn't worth it.

This is something I think the playerbase should handle, and they should handle it by making Zaoloo a pariah.
