The thing is it wouldn’t make any sense for him to wait. He is a star in the GOP at the moment, a lot of people outside of Florida already know his name and his policies, he just crushed his Democrat opponent in a reliably purple state. The worst thing he can do for his political career is finish up his term as governor, retire for 2 years so everyone forgets all about him, then run for president.
