1. Murdoch isn’t backing trump any more. Fox News earlier put up nearly a dozen candidates for the GOP nominee and trump wasn’t among them.
2. Matt Gaetz, who’s been one of trumps most loyal fanatics isn’t going to his speech tonight due to the rain. Hahaha!
3. Cynthia Lummis, GOP Senator from Wyoming, said earlier that Desantis is the current leader of the Republican Party.
Lindsay Graham said it years ago… “if we nominate trump, we will get destroyed…..and we will deserve it.” They just got destroyed and they deserve it.

What happened in between Graham saying that and then becoming his butt boy trying to change the vote count in Georgia? Pretty interesting how then effeminate southerners are drawn to Trump. Cruz included.

I'll vote for Trump in the general election if he wins the primary, because let's face it, even a toddler could run this country a billion times better than any Democrat.
But Trump should just step aside already. At this point he seems to care more about winning this for himself than he cares about the future of the country or the Republican party.
Yes, clearly things "just happened" to work out in Democrats' favor in 2020 (WINK WINK!!!), but he is not helping the Republican party now.
Wouldn't surprise me one bit if Trump threatened to run as third party if it looked like his chances of winning the primary was low. He basically implied that during the 2016 primaries.

Remember Jeb Bush from 2016. For a while after he announced, the smart people thought his name and fundraising ability would overwhelm the other GOP candidates.
What's the difference between Trump and Jeb? When Jeb lost, he graciously withdrew from the contest. Do you think Trump would follow Jeb's example? Trump would likely attempt to break the Republican Party apart and run as the nominee of a significant breakaway faction. He could succeed in that attempt. Facing that prospect, what should anti-Trump Republicans do?

Trump was definitely not putting on as good a show as usual. Compared to his glitzy golden escalator announcement for the 2016 campaign, this announcement was a snoozer.
It was the setting. When it comes to glitz, New York > Florida. For his New York announcement, Trump was able to hire a crowd of young actors to attend in matching shirts to enthuse the occasion. The Florida audience appears mostly to have been members of his country club, who reportedly (https://www.newsweek.com/did-mar-lago-crowd-try-leave-while-trump-was-speaking-1759909) were blocked by Trump's security from leaving the room.

Really ironic that the Republicans would have been in such a massively better place had they voted to impeach Trump. Not only was Pence a better prospect for President, but they would have had years to recover their image. Better yet, none of the covid-19 or January 6th debacle. Goes to show where putting party over country leads.

The thing is it wouldn’t make any sense for him to wait. He is a star in the GOP at the moment, a lot of people outside of Florida already know his name and his policies, he just crushed his Democrat opponent in a reliably purple state. The worst thing he can do for his political career is finish up his term as governor, retire for 2 years so everyone forgets all about him, then run for president.
Sure I suppose he could run for a House seat to stay in politics, but that would be a dramatic step down from where he is now and he wouldn’t be in the spotlight nearly as much as he is now for those 2 years he is waiting.

That was disappointing. I thought it would be about his presidential campaign, which I'm starting to think he forgot about. The trading cards are NFTs that are apparently photos of Trump. Isn't an NFT something like a Bitcoin?
I guess that explains this..
According to the New York Times, former US President Donald Trump hijacked White House staff photographer Shealah Craighead's book agreement by taking her photos and releasing them in his own book.
"Our Journey Together," which was published in December, makes Trump the first former president to try to benefit from a planned book by a White House photographer.
The official White House photographer has published a book of their most significant photos of the president under whom they served since Ronald Reagan.
According to the story, Craighead had already secured a publishing contract – including a six-figure advance – when she informed the White House about the book.
As is customary for presidents, Trump agreed to write the foreword.
However, her strategy began to unravel when Trump's advisors demanded a cut of the revenues for the forward and assistance in promoting the book.
Later, his team requested her to postpone the book's release so that Trump could publish his own book based on Craighead's and other White House photographers' work, for which he received a multimillion-dollar advance.
The book, which costs up to $230 a copy, sold out in its first 300,000 copies, generating a $20 million profit.
More... (https://www.wionews.com/world/trump-tried-to-take-profits-from-book-of-photos-published-by-white-house-photographer-467334)
Insiders told the New York Times that Trump frequently disparaged Craighead and her photographic talents in front of visitors and other photographers.
None of the photographers featured in the 317-page book are given credit, including Craighead, whose work accounts for a significant percentage.

Now that I've seen a few of the cards, I can only shake my head in shame and disbelief. Have you ever see a cutout where you put your face in the hole and somebody takes a photo? These look like cutouts with Trump's face in the hole. See examples at https://twitter.com/willsommer/status/1603422514511740928 Plus there's a sweepstakes entry with each one purchased for the possibility of winning prizes like participating in a Zoom call with Trump.
I'm starting to think Trump isn't really running for president in 2024. He wouldn't do this if he was, would he?
