I always like to see what folks ended up getting with their BS.
I had what I think is a decent DR for my two dudes.
Things I got:
1. Fixstats with BS
2. fully unlocked wand bow
3. Alchemy Jar cloak and back worn
4. 50 count alchemy jars (17)
5. 10 damage services on my HDW weapon
6. 35 critical services on my robes which had no CER

I do like the spell preps, nothing called out to me this run but those kind of things I really enjoy too.

For not being a whale (or even a tadpole for that matter), I feel like I got a lot done this year.
From Players -
Added S6 to my S5 blade
Added S1 and S2 to my plate
HESS -
* Transmuted my helm, arm/leg greaves, aventail, and shield (these are my high-end enhancives) to make a matching set of armor
* Added Slash resistance to my plate
* Added fire flares to my blade
* Added GEF to my blade
Non-HES:
* Converted my tent to auction quality
* Added tent container (upgraded 3 times for size)
* Added 2 peeps to my tent capacity
* Added tent trash bin
* x2 Fighting Knives both upgraded to T3 (couldn't quite afford T4 this year) - altering these to eventually match my T4 fancy greaves to be a set
* Fireball custom flare message for my blade
WPS -
* 30 services to all my gear (20 in starting window, and 10 in closing window)
I think in all I spent around 400k bs or so. I did around 500 runs (never saw an orb or token), and a massive deep-dive locker cleanout sale to buy BS. Going to make a serious effort to save up enough BS in the coming months to hopefully get Undead Bane added to my blade, get the in-city "gate" unlock for my tent, and T4 on both fighting knives next DR.

I just hit up the WPS a few times and visited the slab wagon, like I do every DR. I walked away with a good number of rare slabs this time around, though:
4 golvern
5 eahnor
4 or 5 eonake
5 or 6 rolaren
That's a lot more than I got over the past 2 years combined and I drop upwards of 8-10k in BS there each time DR is running. Usually I see 1 golvern, 1 eahnor and maybe 2 each of eonake and rolaren. Got lots of flaring slabs, razern and white ora, too. I went through half my razern though, probably got 40 slabs left, working on crafting a perfect razern flamberge (ended up with 2).
Otherwise, the only other thing notable is my level 61 redux mage dropped his fastest arena run from 224 seconds down to 204 seconds. Pretty good since I have to recast haste at least 5 times a run, recast 909 at least 2 times a run and recast 902 at least 4 times a run. Right there is 33 seconds of time I'm not attacking, plus I usually have up to 3 failed casts due to armor hindrance. In all, about 40-45 seconds of time I'm stuck in cast RT and not able to swing my weapon.

oh I didn't realize there was a slab wagon. I will have to try that out in February if they do it then and it's still around. Sounds like a good haul. Also super jealous of 204 seconds. with my pally/monk combo my best time is 452 and I am usually around the mid 500-600 though.

It's there every DR, go through the opening by the WPS assistant, instead of the archway (the archway by the assistant takes you to the WPS blacksmith, if you have an invite). Usually the first week or so of DR you see the best return on slabs. Once that first week period ends, the rare slabs don't drop anymore (I'm guessing there is a limited number of them and they probably have all gone out by then), at least they haven't for me. Take today for example, I did almost 100 pulls and out of that 1 was vaalorn, 1 was rhimar, 2 were gornar, 1 was zorchar about 10 were a mix of mithril, invar and imflass and the rest were all iron slabs. I don't really see a very good return after the first week of DR so I usually call it quits for slab hunting by then, but sometimes I go back for a few pulls towards the end just to see if I get lucky, but usually it's mostly iron slabs and nothing worth keeping.

Was my first DR since being back to the game, was fun. Upgraded my runestaff and robes, and got spun for some high steel ore so I had a shield made.
a black and white surita runestaff
It imparts a bonus of +65 more than usual.
It appears to weigh about 4 pounds.
It is estimated to be worth about 1,000,000,000 silvers.
It is predominantly crafted of surita. It is greater surita (d125).
It has been ensorcelled 5 times.
It has been sanctified 5 times. It has permanent Holy Fire flares.
It is an overwhelming project (1,091 diff) for an adventurer to modify.
some layered black and white aganjira robes
It imparts a bonus of +65 more than usual.
It appears to weigh about 8 pounds.
It is estimated to be worth about 43,850,000 silvers.
It is predominantly crafted of aganjira. It is greater aganjira.
It has been ensorcelled 5 times.
It has been sanctified 5 times. It has permanent Holy Fire flares.
It is a daunting project (991 diff) for an adventurer to modify.
a high steel buckler
It imparts a bonus of +30 more than usual.
It appears to weigh about 5 pounds.
It is estimated to be worth about 350,000 silvers.
It is predominantly crafted of high steel.
This high steel buckler provides additional defensive benefits when employed against all extraplanar creatures.
It is a simple project (87 diff) for an adventurer to modify.
Please lighten to your runestaff though, it hurts to look at.

I cashed out my silvers and sold some gear for books and ended with a pretty decent haul this time for my standards. 24 runs left and I am ready for the end. All and all was able to get most of my keeper characters into upgraded gear. Probably upgrade the parka and buy a zorchar fighting knife to close out the list.
t4 day/nightbringer spear (cant believe i managed this)
t2 unlock on my energy shield
parka (holds quite a bit ots)
animal spirit robes for my monk to round his set, still all ots but its nice to have things to work towards
t2 voln plate with plasma flares
t4 6 cer forest armor
10-20 wps services on 7 toons worth of gear

How are the nightbringers?
They're fun. You will likely want to unlock the Daybringer toggle so it's easier to charge. Doing that means no matter what you're hunting, you probably have a chance to double flare.

WPS -
* 30 services to all my gear (20 in starting window, and 10 in closing window)
You may already know this, but if you don't and for future reference it would be more cost effective for you to do this as 15 services per window as opposed to 20/10. The short reason is that the cost increases as you add more services in a given window. If you want to play with the numbers more, you can find cost info on the wiki at:
https://gswiki.play.net/WPS_smithy
In general, if you know how much work you want to do on an item at a DR and you know you are going to use both service windows, it is best to split the services equally between the two windows. If I wanted to add 20 services, I would do 10/10. If I wanted 30, I would do 15/15. And so on.
This may or may not be a significant amount of BS, depending on how much gear you had worked on and the quality of said gear. But I always figure every little bit helps, and why pay more for something you don't have to?

You can only do metal to metal or wood to wood etc. I took some basic wood items and turn them into rare woods that they never give out.

That makes perfect sense. In my case, the plan was (and almost always is) "do as much as possible". I walked into DR with zero scrip in pocket, and had I managed to come up with enough (or could afford to invest more) over the two weeks I would have done 20/20. The jump in cost at 21 becomes a barrier to my spending. I'm doing a little more planning for the next run than I have in the past, so plan to make sure I have enough going in to cover 40 services for everything across two windows.
